Hey readers! I'm so sorry again for not updating sooner! I was so busy with state testing for one week and then I had a bunch of random quizzes and tests. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, especially since it ends on a cliffhanger.. hehe.

(Jax's POV)

Gilly had been ignoring me for about 2 weeks, 3 days, 13 hours, and 47 minutes... not that I'm counting, of course. And I wonder if it's because Tessa kissed me.

THAT JUST PROVES THAT SHE LIKES YOU, a voice in the back of my head screamed.

Oh shut up, me. She couldn't- could she?

I bit down on my lip hard enough to draw blood. I paced my room wondering if I should go talk to her, but I felt way too nervous.

While I was thinking, Kayla burst into my room and crossed her arms, her amber eyes glaring at me so intensely that I thought it would literally set my face on fire.

I raised my hands as if I was being arrested and asked, "What happened? And why do you look mad at me?"

She rolled her eyes and replied, "You know what you did!"

I scratched my head, trying to recall what I did. "Um, let's say I forgot what I did. You wouldn't mind telling me, would you?"

Kayla sighed heavily, and Ollie walked in through the open door, looking completely confused. He turned to Kayla.

"Why does Jax look like he got arrested? And why do you look like you're going to punch him?" He asked, grabbing Kayla's hand.

Her gaze turned to their intertwined hands and her cheeks tinted pink before answering, "Erm- he kind of.. uh, he hurt Gilly a lot. That's why I want to punch him."

Ollie turned to me, raising an eyebrow. "Jax? Is that true?"

My eyes widened.

I immediately knew what this was about.

"Was it because Tessa kissed me? Oh god- is she upset about that?" I asked.

Kayla sighed, exasperatedly. "Yes! She likes you, you oblivious idiot!" She stepped closer to me, her eyes full of fury. I took a step back, swallowing the bile in the back of my throat nervously.

Ollie kissed her cheek, and she calmed down a little.

And by a little, I mean little.

"You better talk to her!" Kayla yelled, before stomping out. Ollie gave me a disappointed and sympathetic look before walking out of my room.

I sighed, knowing I had to talk to her. Then I remembered something Kayla said about Gilly liking me. My heart fluttered out of my chest at the thought of that.

I messed up big time, didn't I?

I rushed out of my bedroom door and ran into Tessa, of all the people. She looked up at me.

"What happened?" She asked, running her hand down my chest. I groaned, pulling her hand off me.

"I have something I need to fix," I told her, hurriedly walking past her.

I walked through the halls and finally got to Gilly's room. I stared at the door in front of me, my nervousness ready to kill me. I took a deep breath in and knocked on her door.

I heard rustling inside her room before she opened the door. She took one glance at me with her clouded brown eyes, then her face darkened.

"What?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest. I ran a hand through my hair and sighed.

"Um- you see, uhh... the thing is... I'm sorry for whatever made you sad and um, Tessa kissed me, and it's not like I wanted to kiss her," I stammered. I mentally slapped myself for being so bad at apologies. I really needed to work on that.

She raised an eyebrow, but moved aside to let me in. I noticed that she wasn't wearing her maid's dress, and instead in shorts and a blue t-shirt; which looked really good on her.

She leaned against the wall as I stepped closer to her.

"You're sorry huh? Well, I don't think I'm ready to forgive you yet." I turned on my puppy dog face and she blew a breath out.

"Ugh. You really are too cute," she said, before turning pink and averting her eyes away from my gaze. I felt my cheeks heat up too, as I took another brave step toward her.

"I have something to tell you," I informed her, scratching my neck. She raised her eyebrow, but nodded for me to go on. I sucked in a breath and said, "Um- so Kayla kind of told me that you like liked me-" Her eyes immediately widened and she opened her mouth to say something, but I shushed her so I could continue, "-and, I wanted to say that I- uhhh... I-I like like you too." Her jaw dropped, her mouth hanging open as she stared blankly at me.

"Wait... you actually do?" She looked down, and her cheeks flushed a deep red that made her look even cuter than before. I took another step toward her so that we were a few inches apart. I placed a finger on the bottom of her chin and tilted her face upward to look me in the eye.

"I do, and... I hope you'll be my girlfriend." Gilly's eyes widened so much that I was a little scared that they would pop out of their sockets.

"And.." I continued, "I know I technically have Tessa as a girlfriend, but I don't love her the way I love you. I've never liked her anyway; since she was always too clingy and seemed to look at me with fake love in her eyes. But, I would love to be your boyfriend, even if this relationship won't work; because I promise I will make it work. I really like you more than as a friend, so please? Will you be mine so I can be yours?"

(Damn, a whole freaking paragraph. Since when was Jax so poetic?)

She smiled softly, "Of course I want to be your girlfriend." Then, she grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and dragged my lips down to hers. I felt a burst of happiness and shock rush through me, and I kissed her back; wrapping my arms around her waist as we both stumbled around. Her arms laced themselves around my neck as she pressed our bodies flush together. We both stumbled around her room, our lips locked as we fell onto her bed; with her on top of me. We rolled around on her bed, as she wrapped her legs around me tightly.

After a while, we finally broke apart for stupid air. Have I ever told you how much I hate oxygen?

We stared at each other for a moment; while I took this as the time to study the beautiful features of her face; her soft pink lips, her big brown eyes, her pretty eyelashes, and her smooth flushed cheeks. I pulled her even closer to me, our limbs tangled, and rested my chin on the top of her head; her face buried in my chest. She sighed softly.

"I love you, Gilly," I muttered into her hair.

"I love you, too Jax," she replied, her voice slightly muffled. My eyes eventually fluttered close.

And that's how I ended up falling asleep in Gilly's room, but little did I know that Tessa watched from the peephole in the door in horror. (DUN DUN DUNNNNN!)
