Chapter XXVI: Recovering.

Amethyst:

Date: July 26, 2020.

The next day before we began to make our way to the forest, Aurora came up to me beforehand and asked: "Now, Amethyst, are you sure that you'll be okay during our usual trip to the forest and back later on today?"

Amethyst: "Of course I'll be fine, 'Rora. When am I not fine?"

"…"

Amethyst: "Oh, wait, nevermind. Now I know what you're talking about. But other than that, I'll be fine, I promise that."

Commander Aurora: "All right. I'm just double checking to make sure is all. I don't want to take any risks is all."

Amethyst: "I understand and I appreciate your concerns for me as well."

Then we headed out to the forest and when went from there.

As I was carrying out my usual duties all while keeping a close eye on ScarFace, RobinFeather came up to me and asked: "Hey, Amethyst, are you all right? You seem a bit off today."

Amethyst: "Yeah, everything's fine. Why do you ask?"

RobinFeather: "Well, I just noticed that you just seem a bit tired today is all. Are you sure that everything is okay or did something happen?"

Amethyst: "Well, something happen the other night that nobody knows about but just us. If I tell you, can you promise me that you won't tell anyone else about this?"

RobinFeather: "Of course I won't. Your secret is your secret alone and I'm not the type of animal to spill such harmful things to another animal. So, take your time as you tell me what you may be hiding."

And then I told him everything that happened that night when I went insane and tried to kill Summer and then try to kill Abigail while we were all asleep in the base, how I felt tired throughout the day the day and then wreaked havoc that same evening when I tried to kill two people. "Oh my goodness. Amethyst, I am so sorry to hear all of that." RobinFeather said when I finished. "How have you been managing since then?"

Amethyst: "I've been doing okay since the incident and so have Summer and Abigail as well and we are still on good terms since that happened. I know it may sound like this happened ten years ago or even four years ago when it actually happened two days ago in reality, but of course, people who always talks about something that happened like two days ago always make it sound like it happened years ago. Or maybe that's just me."

RobinFeather: "I'm not really sure about all of that but I'm just glad to know that you, Summer, and Abigail are okay and only came out with a few bites and scratches when you fought Abigail."

Amethyst: "I am too… though sometimes, I feel like I should've done more to Abigail than what I did to her that night during my rampage."

RobinFeather: "I don't think you should do something like that, Amethyst. Doing something like that could is severe. What if either you or Abigail get killed as a result of it? Then what would happen?"

"…"

Amethyst: "Oh, you're right, I'm sorry."

RobinFeather: "You're, I just don't want any of the Protectors to die if they were to battle one another for what cause it may be."

Amethyst: "I-I-I know and I understand why. Well anyways, thank you for your concerns but I can and assure that I'm totally fine."

RobinFeather: "You're welcome."

And then he left from there and I carried with my duties as well but still kept a close eye on ScarFace from time to time, knowing that he was up to something that we did not know about.
