"You were building a satellite.." I looked at the computer's screen as it displayed what Moon had in his storage, and despite the storage being his own, he still emitted a sort of confused noise.
"Was I?" He stayed sat on the counter while making sure to not move much since the cable that connected the computer and his storage was shoved in his Arduino. Any wrong move, and it'll probably.. most likely, kill him.
It was nice knowing he trusts me enough to give me access to his informational data.
"Apparently. You named the file.. Eclipse death." I cringed my face, using the mouse to scroll down deeper into the file, my back bent, left hand on the counter and eyes squinted.
"It must have been my old self then."
"Your old self?.." I turned my head to him while I stared in disbelief or mockery. "What the hell is your old self?" I ended my sentence with a chuckle.
"My old self, old Moon with a big scary kill code, abuser quite literally and all that shabang, whatever.." He grumbled, rolling his eyes as he rubbed the back of his neck in an uncomfortable manner.
"You got rid of your kill code?" I stood up properly, crossing my arms as I stared at the glowing eyes of the guy in front of me.
"Yeah."
"How..?"
"Why?"
We shared a long silence. It tossed me in my thoughts; he doesn't have a kill code. He seems calm, unbothered, not violent, not obsessive not abusive notcontrollingnotaggressivenotwicked-
"Eclipse?"
I grabbed his wrist while he was shaking my shoulder.
"..Yeah?" I shakily yet slowly caught up with my breath. And I felt it; jealousy. He is so much better than what I have.
"What did I say? You are looking at me with a frown that's threatening to decapitate me!" He scoffed, and I only realized how messed up it was of me to feel this way.
"Lost in thoughts. So, I am going to use that information of yours, probably take stuff from Monty, I'll manage to make that satellite work, yeah?"
"Yup-eAH! ouch!" He yelped as I removed the cable, it made me flinch and take a step backwards.
"I'm sorry- Moon- I'm really sorry-"
"No- yeah.. chill out, it's fine." He groaned before jumping off the counter. I sweated a little, then slowly placed the cable next to the computer.
"Alright, good job." He raised his fist, and I instantly covered my head. I blinked twice in confusion, and honestly, I felt very embarrassed. I chuckled nervously and hit his fist with mine, we fist-bumped.
"Okay.." He cleared his throat. "I'll see you?"
"See ya." I accompanied him to the portal, then waved before he jumped in, several plastic colorful balls popping out, yet never revealed him again. He teleported away."Someone convince me that the reject made friends."
I frowned at the familiar voice. A Moon, once more, but a voice that's dripping much more hate. I turned around to see him coming from the entrance, never dressed up properly; always kept his dirty hat, ripped outfit and never fixed his bruised face. He looked bad. Restless. Ugly.
My frown hardened more and more.
"Not a friend. The most likely ally." I bent down and took two balls that flooded from the ball pit when the dimensional guy jumped in. And suddenly, the balls dropped from my hands as I was forced to turn around with the painful grip on my arm. I looked into Moon's eyes that spoke for himself; he wants to know what I've been scheming with the alternative one.
"Speak."
"I was just helping him out with something in his dimension." I gasped from my nose with his hand that was clenching my jaw, forcing me to keep eye contact with him. "Let go of me." I grabbed his wrist, but to no avail.
