Your mouth falls open in astonishment. It's the first time you've ever been to an amusement park, and you believe it just may be the best thing to have ever existed. Saving up all that pocket money came in handy, although you did have to hold back on going out with other friends. Of course, when Jason told you of the price for a single ticket, you were skittish and almost immediately said no. Spotting the yearning in your gaze, Jake offered to pay for you, but you declined. Embarrassment came easy to you.

In the end, your parents agreed to give you the extra funds on one condition; your allowance would be cut for the following weeks.

Curse it, you think. It was worth seeing the look of excitement sported by the three when you told them you could go.

"[Name]," Brad calls out excitedly, giving Jason and Jake a nod, "we have to take you all over the place!"

Jason grins, and it's as bright as ever. "I still can't believe this is the first time you've been to an amusement park," he says, pulling you close to his side. Flush against him, your throat turns dry. He wraps an arm around your shoulder. It's a bit heavy, but you don't mind. Not when he's so happy. And not when his sincerity is aimed at you.

"Leave her alone," Jake chides, though his expression says otherwise. You smile and pinch his waist. He gasps, backing away from you. Jason makes a point to high five you—Brad, feeling overlooked, opts to do the same. Your hand meets theirs, slapped together, and you note they try their best to avoid exerting too much strength. It's not like you care. In fact, you quite like it when they treat you with such familiar words and gestures.

"Morons," you say under your breath, coughing into your fist. But the cough doesn't conceal the word.

Jason pokes your cheek. "You love us for it."

(And they know you do, so you roll your eyes with nothing short of exaggeration like always).

Brad shoots you a curious stare and tilts his head, asking, You're not annoyed, are you? I'll beat them up for you.

Your lips lift up. Shaking your head, you give him an okay sign. He melts like ice cream, his expression cute as a bear. Always the kind one, he has been. You wonder if he knows how much you adore him. How much you adore the three of them. But you know they do; it's clear when they check up on you, when they glare at people who look for a second too long, and when they catch you by the waist just as you're one step from falling over. You're not clumsy, definitely not, but it happens on occasion when you get too distracted.

"Sure," you reply, voice softer than usual.

Jake's eyes move from your face, drifting to the rides behind you. "What do we do first? Rides or food?" he asks simply.

"Rides!" Jason perks up, pressing closer to you.

"Food," Brad says as if it's the stupidest question to have ever been asked. You almost laugh, but the seriousness in his answer makes you think twice.

Jake raises a brow, nodding in Brad's direction. "I vote food."

Their stares angle towards you. Sweat dribbles down your forehead, and you're blessed to know you'll never have to fight them—if that's their vote for our side gaze, then you're not sure you want to know how their I'll kick your ass stare looks like.

"I am a bit hungry," you say, watching Jason's smile turn to a frown, "but eating before rides isn't a good idea. Right?"

"Right!" Jason nods eagerly. Brad gives him a side-eye, only to be met with a dismissive wave of the hand. He scoffs.

"Okay then," Jake says, an exaggerated sigh leaving his mouth, "rides, it is."

With that, you're dragged around by Jason who seems to have everything in the world to say today.
