He suddenly shifted. He slammed your head onto the ground, moving his hand to cover your nose and mouth, making it difficult to breathe. You tried to struggle. You realized that with such a quick movement of your one arm, the blade nicked you. He flinched, looking back at your arm. He kept a firm grip on your face, unmoving, but his expression was... distracted. He just stared at your bleeding arm.
After a short while, you'd felt yourself begin to black out from the lack of air. The man noticed this from the corner of his eye, turning his head back to watch you. His eyes locked onto yours as everything started to grow fuzzy and black.. Eventually, you were unconscious.
You woke up again after... lord knows how long. You awoke to a stinging pain in the arm that was previously nicked by the switchblade of an unknown man.
Funny enough, as you pushed yourself to sit up on the cave ground, you looked to see the same man further inside the cave. He seemed to be polishing his switchblade, a cloth beside him looking bloody, as if he'd cleaned blood off something. You look at your arm, realizing that it was bandaged, the wraps being bloody. The blood on that cloth must've been yours...
"Ah! Welcome back, sweetheart." The man spoke suddenly.
You snap your head around to look at him. He's staring right back at you now. You snap, demanding to know what he did to you. He raised his hands, shutting his eyes and chuckling softly.
"I did nothing bad... I simply had a meal. And gave you a pretty new marking."
He opened his eyes enough to be half-lidded, staring at you with a mildly smug look. You notice now that he had blood splattered and smeared on his lips... You furrowed your brow at this.
The man simply puts his switchblade away after a short, awkward silence. He stood up, and... began to walk further into the cave. Just before he disappeared into the dark, he stopped and spoke again."Oh, darling - Keep that bandage on for a while, you wouldn't want to risk any infections..."
After he replied, he vanished into the cave. You pause for a long moment. Then you quickly scramble to your feet, and dart out of the cave. You notice that it's early morning by now - 5-6 AM. Still dark, but the sun was starting to rise, casting the forest in a deep, blood-orange colour. You ran as fast as you could from that cave, eventually finding your way back home.
