My new Jasper Hale fic is published! In this one, I really poured my heart out and improved my writing greatly—you'll notice the HUGE difference between Redamancy and Sinta.
It's truly one of a kind and very special to me as it heavily discusses my culture and the lasting effects of colonization that happened here in my country. My twilight fic contains pre-colonialism beliefs, religion, language, customs, practices, etc, and how it was influenced/erased with the Philippines being colonized by Spain, America, and Japan. It isn't a broad discussion, only surface information about it for background knowledge! But it is so fun writing about my country's history because it definitely is interesting!
Literally, I'm so glad to be able to write about my own culture (filipino culture) after writing for white people for so long. Like I felt seen in my own writing. Giving representation for Filos in the fan fiction community where they are correctly written as Filipino instead of another Asian ethnicity feels right.
This twilight fic is very dear to me! It's one of my most brilliant Twilight fic so far, and I can only wish you enjoy it with me!
My OC is indeed a Filipina OC so, to my Filipino readers, it would mean a lot if you could support my story when I publish it! Don't worry. I have a friend who's going to beta-read my story first to make sure that any historical information is accurate and correct!
