Look at this adorable art! I love the Nature wives, and these little outfits are so cute. Their little dresses and Katherine's skate board and Shelby's roller skates I cannot-
'Shelby's' POV
I held out my hands, feeling the power surge through them. The sculk on my hands looked a bit like patches of scales, black, with little sparkling light blue dots that looked like stars. I smiled, then glanced over at the blood covered body of Oli. I walked over to it, knowing he would be revived soon and instantly be back in his house. I crouched over him.
"Thank you for setting me free..." I whispered to his cold form. My voice had a new, oddness to it that I loved. I slid the guitar that Oli still clutched in his hands away from him. "Thanks to your sacrifice, everyone will see the real me..." With those words, I used my new magic to shatter the guitar into tiny pieces. A smile spread across my face.
There was a rustling in the trees and I whipped around, pulling out my scythe. A girl came out of the forest. She had long black hair and was wearing a pink dress. I could feel the real Shelby's heart leap at the sight of her, but I ignored it. She wasn't in control anymore.
"Oli! What are you shrieking about? Have you seen Shelby anywhere? I can't find her!" Katherine's eyes landed first on Oli, covered in blood, laying on the ground, dead. Then, she raised her eyes to me. She walked towards me, fear covering her features. She was close enough now I could see my reflection in her eyes. My own eyes were different, the iris was now light blue instead of bright yellow like they usually were. The whites of my eyes had changed as well, now a very dark blue instead of white.
Katherine stopped right in front of me, her face inches from mine. I could practically hear Great Witch Shelby's panic, but again, I ignored it.
"Shelby... what happened?" Katherine murmured.
"Shelby's gone, idiot." I growled, my voice harsh. Katherine winced, and I felt the real Shelby trying to get out.
"Oh Shelby, I could have helped... I know what it's like to be cursed." Katherine whispered.
"Shelby's gone! I'm what's here now. She chose this." I said gleefully. The princess frowned slightly.
"I don't believe the real Shelby is completely gone." Katherine said, taking a step closer.
(Actual Shelby's POV)
"Well, she is. Sorry if you don't like it. Oh wait. No I'm not." I heard the sculk hiss at Katherine, raising the scythe. I winced, regretting my choice to let sculk take over like crazy. All I wanted to do was reach out, hug Katherine, hold her close, forget about the world and the spirits and the sculk for a while.
"Shall we test that?" Katherine asked softly, and I felt the Sculk smugness, it knew I wasn't strong enough to come back. And then, Katherine did something I never would have expected.
The princess cupped my face and kissed my forehead. A surge of power came over me and the Sculk couldn't stop me from closing my eyes and leaning into her touch, smiling softly.
"I knew you were in there Shel. I'll go tell Sausage and Gem, stay strong until I get back." Katherine whispered. Then, her hands were gone and the Sculk had its power back. It screamed in fury, whipping around, looking for Katherine, but she was already gone. Oli was gone as well. I let it happen, still very confused and happily immersed in what had just happened.
Why did you let her do that! The Sculk thought furiously as she ran after Katherine. I couldn't stop the Sculk, now that Katherine is gone, so I just let it be for a second, so I could process WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F JUST HAPPENED! Did Katherine really just kiss me? Even if it was just on the forehead, KATHERINE JUST EFFING KISSED ME. I was pretty sure if I was actually in my body right now and not just a spirit trapped in my own body, my face would be bright red. I wish I could run to her and hug her and kiss her and say sorry for giving into the Sculk. I wish I hadn't given in. ARGH! Stupid, stupid Shelby! I'm already on the run from the other witches, I don't need all of the emperors to hate me as well. I thought. But... maybe they won't.
Don't be stupid Shelby. Why would they ever forgive you for this?
This is definitely the shortest chapter I have ever written ever, but I wanted to get something out because I have been gone for so long lol. I could probably do a part 2 if y'all want, I have a few Ideas but for now this is what you get. This is also probably the dullest after paragraph I've ever written but it's 2:44 AM I am so tired 😭
