As they navigate through the forest, they come across an old hermit sitting by a small fire. His eyes are sharp and his demeanor calm.

Rahul: (cautiously) "What do you want in return?"

Hermit: (smiling) "Only a promise. A promise to return and share stories of your journey. It's lonely here."

Elara: (smiling warmly) "We promise. Please, guide us."

The hermit stands, leading them deeper into the forest. His knowledge of the terrain is evident, and he moves with ease through the undergrowth.

Approaching the Artifact:

They reach a clearing where the trees seem to part naturally, revealing an ancient stone altar with a glowing artifact atop it. The air around the altar hums with energy.

Dialogue – At the Clearing:

Hermit: (pointing) "There it is. But be warned, the guardian will not let you take it easily."

Amelia: (drawing her sword) "We're ready for whatever comes."

Rahul: (casting a protective spell) "Stay alert, everyone."

Elara: (clutching her staff) "Let's do this."

The Guardian Appears:

As they approach the altar, a massive shadowy figure materializes, blocking their path. The guardian's eyes glow red, and its form shifts and changes, making it hard to focus on.

Guardian: (booming voice) "Who dares to disturb the sacred ground of the Forest of Shadows?"

Amelia: (stepping forward) "We seek the artifact. Stand aside, or we'll force our way through."

Rahul: (readying his magic) "Then we'll have to fight."

Elara: (casting a light spell) "Together, we can defeat it."

The Battle:

The battle is intense, with the guardian using the shadows to its advantage. Amelia's sword strikes true, Rahul's spells protect and attack, and Elara's light keeps the shadows at bay.
