3rd Fate: The Immobilised Teleporter

Fian POV

It all started with the fire—the fire that destroyed our happiness, the fire that caused me to lose a brother, and the fire drove us all apart. One month has passed since that tragedy, and now I’m on a date in the park with Elsa. Although I try to enjoy the moment, I still mourn the fire occasionally, which makes Elsa worry about me.
Elsa:"Fian"
Fian:"Ah, sorry, Elsa, did I do it again?"
Elsa:"It's okay. I know losing someone you consider a brother is very painful for you"
Elsa:"But you also have to learn to let go"
Fian:"I know. Thank you for always being here for me, Elsa"

Elsa smiled at me, and she gently squeezed my hand.
Elsa:"You are very welcome, Fian"
Elsa:"I can't believe it's been a month since that accident"
Elsa:"Everyone has already left to follow their own path"
Fian:"Are you going to leave too, Elsa?"
Elsa:"Maybe"
I fell silent for a moment and lowered my head when I heard that Elsa would also leave.
Fian:"Will we meet again someday?"
Elsa:"Yes! I'm very sure that wherever I go, you will definitely find me"
I immediately smiled after she answered with such confidence.
Fian:"If you're that sure, then I can't let you down"
Fian:"Yes! I will find you, I promise"
Elsa smiled back at me after I said that.

When it was getting late, I took Elsa back to her house.
Fian:"Here we go"
Fian:"Thank you for today, Elsa"
Elsa:"No problem, Fian. Thank you for the date"
Elsa:"I hope one day you can finally let go of the past"
We then hugged each other before I left her home.
Elsa:"Goodbye, Fian. Take care of yourself"
Fian:"Goodbye, Elsa. Good luck wherever you go"
Fian:"I promise, I will definitely find you"

A week after Elsa left, I found myself mourning the past again in Hyde Park, England, watching children play and climb trees. Suddenly, one of the children lost his balance and almost fell. I rushed toward the tree to catch him, but before I knew it, I was already there, as if I had teleported. I managed to catch the child and then quickly left the park, still feeling very confused. Back in my hotel room, I continued to ponder what had just happened.

I sat on my bed, gazing toward the bathroom, and tried to focus my mind as if I wanted to go there. To my surprise, I teleported directly into the bathroom without having to move, though I ended up falling into the bathtub.
Fian:"Hahaha, so I really can teleport"
Fian:"I can use this ability to find Elsa"
I got out of the bathup and took off my wet clothes.
Fian:"But I think I have to train it first before I use it to go to faraway places"

After a few days of training my teleportation ability, I began to understand it better. I can teleport anywhere I want, as long as I can visualize or imagine that location. I usually use photos to help me focus on my destination. This ability drains my energy based on the distance I teleport. I nearly fainted once after teleporting too far, so now I am cautious. I teleport gradually, first to a nearby location before moving to my final destination. It takes more time, but it helps me conserve my energy.

A few weeks later, I had become quite skilled with my teleportation ability. I had tried several times to locate Elsa using this power but had no success. Currently, I was fishing in a forest in Ireland, albeit without permission. While fishing, I heard a rustling sound nearby. Thinking it might be forest police on patrol, I teleported to the top of a tree for a better view. To my shock, I saw a boy around my age caught in an electrified net, surrounded by several adults. The adults then stabbed the boy in the stomach with a knife, killing him instantly.

I nearly screamed at the sight, but suddenly someone covered my mouth, and we instantly teleported to an apartment, even though I hadn't used my ability. Once inside, the person released me. I spun around, ready to confront whoever had silenced me, but the individual tried to calm me down.
???:"Calm down. Sorry for taking you by force like this, but it's the only way, so they won't notice us"
Fian:"Who are you?"
David:"My name is David, and I am just like you"
Fian:"Just like me? You mean you are also a Teleporter?"
David:"People like us are called the Jumpers"
Fian:"Jumpers?"
Fian:"Wait, more importantly, why did you bring me here? What happened in the forest? Who are those people?"

David:"Those people called themselves the Paladins, and they hunt Jumpers like us"
Fian:"What? So that boy earlier was also a Jumper like us?"
David nodded and lowered his head in regret.
David:"I'm too late to save that boy, but at least I can save you"
David:"I brought you here because I want to train you to use our abilities well so you can learn how to protect yourself from those Paladins"

One month later, after extensive training with David, I had expanded my abilities significantly. I could now teleport any item I touched and use my powers more efficiently, without draining much energy. David and I had also managed to rescue several other Jumpers from the Paladins. Currently, we are relaxing in a café in Westminster.
Fian:"So, where do we go next, master?"
David:"Don't call me that"
Fian:"Come on, Dave, you are my mentor. Of course, I call you master"
David:"Fian..."

I laughed at David's annoyed expression, but our moment of relaxation was abruptly interrupted by a tremendous earthquake. I felt a terrible aura emerging alongside the quake.
Fian:"David, did you feel that too?"
David:"What a terrifying aura! What the hell is happening?"
Right after David spoke, a broadcast appeared on every television in town, displaying a terrifyingly demonic figure.
???:"Attention to all of humankind!"
Zalgo:"I. Am. Zalgo! The demon that you sealed centuries ago, and now I am going to take my revenge on all of you"
Zalgo then awakens his ghastly demon armies. 
Zalgo:"Awaken! My army, awaken! My Soul Devourers!"
Zalgo:"Go! Devour all the humans! Destroy everything!"

Right after he spoke, hundreds, or perhaps even thousands, of demons he had awakened began to fly across the globe. It wasn’t long before the Soul Devourers reached London, possessing many residents and causing immediate chaos. David and I were busy trying to protect the people when someone suddenly shot David in the back. I managed to catch him before he fell and turned to see the shooter. To my shock, I saw that the Paladins had allied with the Soul Devourers. Panic set in as I frantically tried to revive David.

Fian:"David! Wake up! Come on, we have to get out of this place!"
David began to regain consciousness after I shook him a few times. Instead of fleeing, he grabbed my shoulders and forcefully pushed me away.
David:"Run! Fian, leave me here!"
I was stunned when David pushed me, causing me to trip and fall. As I lay on the ground, I saw David reaching for my leg, attempting to teleport me. Just before I was teleported, I watched in horror as David was shot in the head.
Fian:"Nooo!!!"
I was teleported back to David's apartment, where I collapsed onto the floor, overwhelmed with grief. As I sat there, I couldn’t stop thinking about Elsa. I desperately wanted to search for her, but with the world in chaos, I felt trapped and unable to go anywhere.
Fian:"I am really sorry, Elsa. I couldn't fulfil my promise to you"
Fian:"Right now, I am just The Immobilised Teleporter"
