The first thing that happens on the train is this: Clove walks up to me and slaps me across the face. "Ow!" I say and use my foot as a barrier between us. "You knew I was volunteering, so why did you volunteer?" I ask. "Oh, to save my sister."

"You think I volunteered for the Hunger Games to save your sister? Cato, I did it to save my life. You know that my parents would kill me if I didn't volunteer. " Clove lets a tear slide down her face before everything turns into a scowl. She is frustrated.

"I know, it's my fault."

"Of course it is! It's always your fault." Anger rises in me. Of course, it wasn't my fault. How dare she say that. We both go our separate ways.
