(bad dream
"HYDRA doesn't like leaks," Sitwell had been nervously looking out the window as Sam drove them to Triskelion.
Sam glanced back at him, smirking. "So why don't you try sticking a cork in it?"
"Insight's launching in sixteen hours. We're cutting it a little bit close here." Natasha added, her voice focused.
"I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly." Steve nodded.
"What?! Are you crazy? That is a terrible, terrible idea—" He was cut off by heavy footsteps on the car roof. The familiar metal arm, that had been haunting Visaenas dreams, grabbed Sitwell, pulling him through the window into oncoming traffic. The winter soldier started shooting at them, through the roof of the car. Visaena held up a small forcefield above her deflecting the bullets, while Natasha jumped into the front with Steve and Sam. Steve grabbed the break of the car, effectively throwing the winter soldier off the roof.
Natasha aimed her gun, about to shoot at him, until another car smashed into Sam's car, and pushed them along, the Winter Soldier jumped back onto their car, shattering through the windscreen, and pulling out the steering wheel.
"Shit!" Sam yelled as Natasha started shooting at the Winter Soldier. He then jumped onto the vehicle behind them. He leaped onto the car's hood, gripping the roof. Thrusting his hand through the windscreen, he ripped out the steering wheel. The HYDRA car behind continued slamming into the back of Sam's car, eventually causing it to flip in the air.
"Hang on!" Steve shouted, breaking open the door and holding onto Natasha and Sam as they slid on the car door through the streets. Visaena blasted the backseat door with her energy blasts, landing roughly on the cement floor. Steve and Natasha skidded on the car door, as Sam rolled on his own. Visaena stopped him from rolling so harshly, helping him up.
The group scattered and ran off in different directions with the Winter Soldier shooting at Visaena, who was locked in. Visaena's eyes glowed green with power, her hands crackling with energy. The Winter Soldier, face partially obscured by his shattered goggles, advanced with cold determination.
Visaena's mind raced, sensing his every move. He lunged at her with his metal arm, and she deftly dodged, countering with a telekinetic blast that sent him skidding backward. But he recovered quickly, drawing his pistol and firing a rapid series of shots. Visaena projected a shimmering force field, deflecting the bullets, but the effort cost her precious energy.
With a surge of power, she propelled herself into the air, dodging another volley of gunfire. She retaliated with a concussive blast aimed at his head. The green energy struck true, shattering the remnants of his goggles and revealing his steely blue eyes. For a moment, their gazes locked, and Visaena saw a flicker of recognition—or was it confusion?
There was no time to ponder. The Winter Soldier sprang at her with relentless speed, his punches precise and powerful. Visaena suddenly felt her breathing constricted, his metal hand wrapped tight around her throat. She looked into his dark eyes, feeling herself slowly start to fall into a blackout. He looked at her for one more second, before hurling her over the highway. She landed harshly on top of a bus, thankfully empty. The queen took a moment to catch her breath, looking up at the Winter soldier from where he threw her.
He jumped down, landing harshly on top of a car, in front of the bus. Visaena swiftly got up, readying herself for another fight. She was exhausted. The use of her powers tiring her even further. She powers up her right fist with energy when the winter soldier shoots a grenade at her, forcing her back. He was standing above her, aiming his gun at her ready to shoot. Visaena didn't know why she felt so weak. Never before did her powers tire her so fast. Everything about The Winter Soldier made her skittish. All the dreams, and now facing him so weak. He was about to shoot, when Steve jumped in, blocking a shot from the Winter Soldier with his shield before kicking him away.
The Winter Soldier responded by firing a barrage of bullets from his various weapons, but Steve managed to block them with his shield.
The Winter Soldier briefly took Steve's shield and threw it at him, but Steve dodged it. They fiercely battled, and eventually, Steve managed to stop the Winter Soldier's arm, throwing him over his shoulder, and causing his mask to fall off in the process. Visaena couldn't believe what she was seeing. Was she dreaming?
"Oh God, James..." Visaena gasped as she saw the familiar face. The dreams suddenly made sense.
"Bucky...?"
"Who the hell is Bucky?" Bucky replied, his expression blank and cold. Though Visaena wasn't sure that was her Bucky anymore.
As Bucky aimed his pistol at Steve, Sam flew in and kicked Bucky aside. Bucky had a brief look of realization but quickly brushed it aside and took aim again. Before he could shoot, Natasha used the grenade launcher he had dropped against him. Sirens wailed, as Bucky shot a smoke grenade, disappearing at the same time.
"Drop the shield, Cap! On your knees! Get on your knees! Now! Get down! Get down!" Rumlow ordered. Steve held his hands up and knelt down. Rumlow kicked Steve's leg, making him kneel further. More Hydra agents ran at Visaena as she got closer to Steve. They grabbed her, clamping something around her neck. Power dampeners.
