Comfortable Silence (Inumaki x Fem!Reader)

|•Chapter 29: The slowburn is over•|

This is short but it kinda sets up the next chapter.
Oh boy.

Second Person POV

You had pulled away from Inumaki after a few
seconds of holding the kiss, now feeling very
flustered. Butterflies beating against your rib cage.
It was your first kiss. If you were to be honest
you had never understood the hype of kissing a
person especially seeing it in the dramas. But now
you were acting like those same high schoolers in
them Japanese or Korean dramas. "I like you, like
I like you a lot. Toge. And I suppose what I want to
ask is, will you be my boyfriend?" You let the
words fall out naturally after the longest time of
holding back and not acting upon it. He stares
at you with his pupils dilated.

"Y-Yeah..."For the first time ever you see Toge
Inumaki blushing and oh boy was it adorable. It
felt different when he didn't use onigiri ingredients
to communicate with you. Opting to kiss him on
the cheek which only made his face turn a cherry
red. "What a pretty sight to see." You smiled at
him, cradling his hand in yours. "We should go to
sleep now." Going to get up as you had let go of
his hand, yet Toge tugs you back and hugs you
from behind. His head buried into your shoulder.
"Stay with me." He murmurs even though it
comes out as curse speech you wouldn't even say
no anyways. "Okay I'll stay but awe should get
comfortable." You push his arms away briefly, to
move to the side and lay down. Urging him to do
the same, now facing each other.

Looking into each other's eyes; your hand goes
to hold his cheek, cupping it gently whilst your
thumb brushed his marking by his lips.
"You're the prettiest, you know that." Rhetorical
inquiring him as he shakes his head, turning it
to press a kiss into your palm. "You're prettier
than me, no... you're prettier than everyone." He
then kisses over your knuckles and then to your
wrist. The feeling of his soft lips pressing into
your skin makes your feel sleepy at the giddy
feeling. Finding your eyes flutter shut.
"You're voice is pretty too and you should talk
more often..." You were trailing off into a very
much needed deep slumber.

It had been a few days after the mission and you
were finally out and about. Following strict orders
from Shoko which consisted of light training and
just the general proper care. Toge and you decided
to keep your relationship hidden mainly for two
reasons. One to see how long it would take for
everyone to figure out and two was to see everyone's
reaction. The both of you wanted to get back at
them especially Maki and Nobara.

Currently you sat in class as Kusakabe tried to
teach you guys mathematics as the school had to
teach normal subjects to not gain suspicion.
"So basically you punch the numbers into the
formula..." He was going on as you were already
more than half way through the work. When
someone barged into the room, Satoru Gojo.
"I'm going to be borrowing one of my star students
from you for something important." He announces
as you already know he was referring to you by
the way he was mouthing for you to come over to
him. "How important could it really be-" "It won't
be long, don't worry yourself."The white hair man
mentions for you leaving no choice but to go
along with whatever he has planned. Standing up
as you ignore the other second years watching
in curiosity.

Now that you were outside the room and a bit
far away from it Gojo turns to you. "I'm going to be
leaving soon for Africa, there's something I need to
to dicuss with Okkotsu. But you should know as
well." He sounds serious which throws you off
since he usually is childish, though that is due to
something tragic. "If anything happens soon or
the near future I want you to be at you're best.
Protect the first years especially, they may be
strong but not fully ready." You look at him a bit
skeptical of what he is saying but it was making
sense as to why Gojo would be saying this.
"Is this because of the attempts on Yuji, exchange
event, and the attempt on Inumaki and m-"
"Yes. For the longest time I've had the suspicion
that there is someone working with the enemy,
most likely a student." He states, now that catches
you completely off guard.

"Who? Are they from this campus or?" You begin
to question it as no one you knew of here could be
suspicious or have any reason to work with the
enemy. Unless they were desperate to have
something and that didn't exactly match anyone
from the top of your head. "Kyoto, I have someone
investigating that right now. The first years and
Utahime-san, I received word that it was
Mechamaru." Gojo answers, you barely knew the
guy and well it was oddly perfect match. Yet
what happens if that isn't the case, realistically
it would be hard to trust anyone til it is confirmed.
"So what will happen next?" The question lingers
in the air as he sighs, pinching the bridge of his
nose. "I don't know, kid. That's the terrifying
part we don't know what the enemy is exactly up
to." He sounds genuine with his words and it
was truly scary to you as well.

Of course no one would be able to tell what exactly
happens next, evidently it is all up to choice and
the route we pick.
