Chapter 1

*The beginning*

**victoria POV**

"Victoria?!" My mother shouted, "it's time to leave to our new home!" I ignored my mother and quickly crawled in my closet and curled my small fragile body up in a tight ball so I could fit in a box. I pouted and cried. "Victoria! Now!" My mother shouted even louder, anger over flowing her voice. I curled myself deeper into the box. I heard footsteps marching up the stairs. "Victoria, how many times do I have to tell you it's time to leave?" My mother said this time her voice lathered with honey.

"I don't wanna leave mama!" I sobbed. My mother looked around my room cautiously, before noticing me in the box. Her light song like laugh filled the air as she approached me and my box. She knelt on her knees beside the box and carefully picked me up. I was still curled up, but now I was sucking my thumb. I could feel the blood being sucked towards my finger tip, and the pressure begin to build. Gently my mother placed me on her lap and stroked my tear pasted hair off my face. Her light brown eyes were kind and her smile was generous. I loved my mother, even though I was so young and clueless, I knew my mother was a beautiful lady. The way her long black hair just reached the small on her back, every time she smiled a dimple would form on either side, her eyes were always happy, her skin spotless other then a few wrinkles that framed her eyes and mouth. She began to speak soothing words to me. I stopped crying and looked up, I was only five years of age, well actually four, but my birthday was soon. But I understood everything my mother would say to me. "Mama I don't wanna leave home" I whimpered. She smiled again and caught a tear off my cheek with her long slender finger.

"Baby, we have to leave, I know you don't want to, but pa and ma live in Indiana and you love them right?" I nodded slowly and kept looking at my mother asking for a better reason we had to leave my favorite home and my only home. "And Daddy found a new job in Indiana, the house will be bigger with more room for you to play house and princess, and maybe one day you will have a little sister or brother" she enthused the last bit. I was still very disappointed that we had to leave. I nodded my head and Barrie's my face in my mothers shoulder. She picked me up like a baby and began to walk out of my bedroom till I stopped her.

"Mama, mama I forgot Mr.Paul!" I panicked. Mr.Paul was my blanket. It was white with flower patterns scattered around on it. My mother quickly walked over to my box and lifted Mr.Paul out of the box and into my hands. We began to walk out of my room again and down to our car. My mother carefully set my sleepy body in the car seat while buckling me in. Soon I was fast asleep, and off to my new home in Indiana.
