It was then after Aman helped Anjali catch a rickshaw and made his way to his apartment, all the nerves left him. As soon as he opened the door, he threw the keys somewhere aside and leaned against the door sighing.
When he saw a girl running on that platform, his eyes narrowed with disapproval. It was stupid to run after a moving train and more stupid to run while it was raining.
But when he saw it was her all the common sense left him. He pushed himself towards the entrance and leaned his hand towards her.
In those few seconds, many intrusive thoughts filled his mind which he had no control over.
Even at the present moment, he could think of them,
Why was she being so careless? What if she had slipped? What if something happened to her or worse what if the train-
No fucking way, oh god. He slapped a hand over his face and groaned.
He had to remind himself, she was safe. He safely helped her on the train. He did not let her go alone. He helped her catch a ride home. She would be home now, she would be okay.
Damn his overthinking skills.
As pathetic as it sounded, he knew he was being dramatic. He knew he was overthinking but he could not help himself, it was overwhelming for him.
Somewhere subconsciously the moment he saw her, he decided something. He would not let her go again, destiny threw her his way and he would not miss this second chance they were given. Aman felt that if he did not help her on the train and she had miss it, he would've miss the chance to have her in his life again and regret it for another seven years.
All this time, he had gather his nerves together. He did not overreact in front of her, he did not scare her away or make her feel awkward. He acted the way he would've under normal circumstances.
He switched on his phone to find a message from her already waiting for him, quickly saving her number he opened the text.
___Anjali
You reached?Hey, I just reached.
Anjali
Thank god, I was just going to call you.Maybe he should've waited another moment.
That's fine, you must be tired. I hope you reached your home safely.
Anjali

...
typingThree dots and they disappeared. He waited for a while and then went to freshen up.
After freshening up and making himself some dinner he picked up his phone to check for her reply but there was none.
Aman frowned, what happened suddenly? She was not one of those who left on read, did he say something wrong?
Just when he was about to keep his phone down, he got her notification.
___
Anjali
