It was a chilly evening in Daejeon, the gangster owner who is bald, tall, muscular with tatooes stood menacingly in front of Tae-hoon. "Your rent has been overdue for two months now. Pay up" he barked. Tae-hoon stammered replied, "Listen, Mr. Nam, I'm having trouble..." but before he could finish, the bald man delivered a powerful punch.

In a loud voice, the bald man declared, "You know my father toiled tirelessly to establish this apartment. After his passing, it became mine, and the rent is also my means of livelihood, You should better hand it over now." Tae-hoon who is desperate pleaded, "You don't get it, I have absolutely nothing. I'm jobless. Just grant me one more month to settle my dues, and I'll continue to reside here"
"You want to stay here?" the bald man questioned, to which Tae nodded.
"Alright then!" With a forceful blow, the bald man struck Tae once more, grabbed the keys, and locked him inside the apartment from the outside.

This cruel man who is respectively called as Mr. Nam, is a heartless man who sealed Tae's fate to starve him in hunger, even the police force is scared of this guy. Following the brutal blow that rendered Tae unconscious, Tae fall asleep on the mat.

Meanwhile at the cozy ambiance of Yuna's apartment, Yuna and Jeong-yun  got simple pleasures of watching movies and engaging in deep heartful discussions. "December is still far away" Yuna remarked to Jeong-yun, alluding to their chosen wedding date in December.

As the night goes on, Jeong-yun and Yuna continued their movie marathon. Meanwhile in Tae's apartment, he got awake only to found out the absence of electricity and the door firmly shut. He got Frustrated and yelled, "This rascal has trapped me, aiming for my death through starvation" Feeling helpless, he contemplated, "I must seek help from the authorities" Hurriedly he grabbed his phone, and dialed the nearby police station, only to be met with a disheartening message, "Line is busy! Call later!"

He then gazed out of the rain-soaked window, Tae's stomach grumbled in protest. "I need some food," he muttered to himself. Without delay he checked his refrigerator, and discovered an array of canned goods. Without hesitation, he opened them all and began devouring them. The night passed, and with the dawn came the return of electricity. "I must reach out to Jeong, he'll surely come for me" Tae resolved. However, after dialing Jeong's number, he was met with silence as Jeong failed to pick up the call on time. Tae-hoon then turned to his PC, seeking comfort in a few video games.

"This is therapy!" He said to himself while playing games,

Hours passed,

Tae, feeling the weight of abandonment creeping in as evening fell, finally he called Jeong on the phone. "Hello, Jeong!" he exclaimed.
"What now?" Jeong asked,
Tae explained, "That bald owner has locked me in my apartment" However, amidst the loud music at the apartment where Jeong was, he struggled to hear Tae clearly and requested "I can't hear you well, call me later" With that, the call ended, leaving Tae frustrated, he let out a scream.

The apartment which is half-empty and shunned by all, stood as a testament to the gangster's menacing presence. Tae found himself trapped in this forsaken place, abandoned by all.

As Tae made his way to the balcony, barely spacious enough for one person, he peered down below. He Spot an elderly couple brisk walking on the pathway, he called out to them, but his voice was lost in the distance. Despite his persistent shouts, no one responded. Being Exhausted, he lay down on the balcony as the sun dipped below the horizon. Suddenly a deafening rumble of thunder jolted him awake. A strange, unsettling odor like of expired lysol or urine, through the air. Gazing up at the darkening clouds, Tae sensed that a storm was imminent.

Tae was excited for the rain to help him relax, but when he looked out and felt the raindrops, he screamed in shock. The rain was not an ordinary one, it turned out to be acid rain, burning his skin and ruining his peaceful moment.

"The heck! How is this even possible?" Tae exclaimed in disbelief. Hurriedly, he retreated into his room and applied some gel to his injured skin. As he tried to calm himself, a chorus of screams pierced the air, originating from the streets below.

"Man, this is getting crazy!" Tae muttered to himself, his face filled with tension. He cautiously peeked through his nearly closed window to see what was happening outside. His eyes widened in horror as he witnessed a woman sprinting desperately, her skin badly burned by the acidic raindrops, seeking refuge. The scene was chaotic and gruesome, shaking Tae-hoon to his very core.

Tae lied down on the sofa, feeling his heart race with anxiety. "How can something so pretty like rain be so deadly?" he pondered aloud. He then Poured himself a glass of water to calm his nerves, he finally started to relax a bit. Minutes later, He glanced out the window once more to check the situation on the streets.

He found the streets empty after the rain stopped. "Rain has stopped, I must get out of here as fast as possible" he exclaimed,
Determined to escape, he tried to open the main door, after several attempt he failed, the door was wide and indestructable.

He then courageously decided to try to lower himself down using a makeshift rope made from his bedsheet, tied to his balcony. His plan was to reach the 2 floor below, on the empty and accessible 15th floor, to make his escape. However, he encountered a problem when he got stuck on the 16th floor while climbing down. Tae-hoon struggled there for half an hour, feeling exhausted and trapped.
On the unfortunate hour, Tae heard the thunder, a sign that the acid rain was coming.

He was still struggling to descend when the rain began to fall. In pain, Tae let out a scream as he realized the danger of being exposed to the acidic rain. Tae was in so much pain from the fast-falling acidic rain that he started bleeding. Overwhelmed, he closed his eyes, seeking solace in what seemed like an inevitable end as he was ready to embrace death.
