"Lucas"he breathed his voice low "That name...it seems familiar " he said.Ethan shook his head slowly "I'm not sure"he admitted "The name feels significant ...like there's something missing that's been right in front of us all along".

Amelia's mind raced in possibilities her thoughts a whirlwind of confusion 'Lucas'was a name that she couldn't remember but had a nagging sense familiarity in her consciousness."Ethan what if...what if Lucas is the key to get my memories?"she said Ethan reached for her hand with a reassuring squeeze  "We'll get through his together I'll be here for you every step of the way"he smiled.Amelia felt a sense of relief unable to resist his mesmerizing dark blue eyes.Lucas may have being apart of her past but Ethan would be there to help her in troubled journey.

The shrill sound of the alarm clock had shattered the silence she groaned lazily turned over to press the snooze button. The bed was cold too cold without someone to share with. She layed there staring at the ceiling her mind heavy with the weight of her memories the soft hum of the city outside that felt distant and disconnected from reality.

With a sigh she swung her legs from her bed  her bare feet touching the cold floor she wore a grey robe the cotton the fabric against her skin gave her a little comfort. Her reflection in the mirror caught her eye her brown hair was tousled dark circles rounding her eyes of the rough night spent. She padded down the hallway to the kitchen greeted by fresh brewed coffee she met Ethan in the kitchen a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips  "Good morning" he said his voice gentle and warm "Morning" she replied her voice still groggy from sleep. Ethan pours a cup of coffee for her their fingers brushing slightly that sent a sparks of warmth in her .She wrapped her hands around the mug savoring the rich warmth comforting scent.

"Sleep well?" he leaned on the counter studying her with concern "Not really" she softly to meet his gaze she could have sworn she saw something flicker in them like unwavering support. He drops his mug and takes a step closer to her gently tucking a gray strand of hair behind her ear. "Don't worry we'll get through" he smiled his voice low and filled with conviction "One step at a time" her eyes flicker in his a small smile on her lips feeling a simmer of hope "Thank you Ethan for everything" .They stood there for a moment forgetting the outside world existed surrounded by soft sunlight of the morning.

A sudden knock on the door interrupted the silence they both exchange puzzled looks they weren't expecting anyone this early. "I'll be right back" Ethan goes to the door and opened it cautiously a man with a mustache stood with a undescriptive package." Delivery for Amelia Harper" he said glancing between them. Amelia furrowed her brow "I didn't order anything" she said taking the package from the man and  thanking him.She noticed her name was written in a neat unfamiliar handwriting Ethan watched her with concern and a hint of nervousness she picked it up and noticed the inscription on the back 'A.H with love always L'.

Her breathe caught her throat seeing her initials on a locket she had no idea who 'L' could be ."Who could have sent this?" Ethan his voice tense "I don't know but it feels...important" they stood there the locket hung in the air Amelia's heart thumped in her chest in fear and excitement diving deeper into the the unknown secrets of her past.
