Lisa's blood had flown up to my toe. I stood there frozen, not because of shock, but because of fear. Fear of someone rushing from the front door and finding me with a dead body in the washroom. I believed I didn't do anything. But the situation I was in. An unknown person in the neighbourhood with a dead body of a person alone in her house. Enough evidence for the police to turn me in. I had to act fast.

I snapped out of the frozen state and went out of the washroom. My toe was covered in her blood, leaving spots behind as I walked out of the washroom. I picked up my shirt from the floor. As I picked it up I saw red spots on my shirt. It was blood. Sprayed all over my shirt. I was confused. I didn't remember anything. Is it that someone broke into the house? No, that doesn't explain why I blacked out. What exactly did happen last night?

My headache was becoming worse. I went to the first aid box beside the fridge and took a painkiller. As I closed the first aid box, my eye caught the knife lying on the floor with blood on its edge. I took a handkerchief and picked the knife up with it, making sure that I didn't leave my fingerprints on it. I took it to the washroom and threw it in the bathroom with the body.

I rushed out of the place and picked up the key to the door. I went out and locked her house. She lived on the 8th floor of a 10-storey building. I was wearing her oversized T-shirt and my trousers. I went into the elevator and there was another lady already in there. Keeping my head low, I walked into the elevator.

Reaching the ground floor, I let the lady walk out first and I followed her out. I walked down two blocks and went into the supermarket. The place was not crowded which was good for me. The less people see my face, the better. I took a rope and a plastic sheet for the body and many plastic bags for the waste. I picked up a cap to conceal my face. I rushed to her apartment. I needed to be quick because if I take too long, the body is going to smell and would create suspicion.

Reaching her apartment, I took the stairs because they were less crowded and I needed to avoid people as much as possible. As I unlocked the door, I heard a voice coming from my right.
"Hey! You must be the guy Lisa was talking about", It was Sofia, Lisa's neighbour and maybe her best friend because who tells someone about a guy you just met except your best friend. I gave her an assuring smile and went inside. I locked the door and closed all the windows. I laid down the plastic sheet in the living room.

I put removed the sweatshirt and picked Lisa up from the bathtub. I walked out and laid her down on the sheet. She had stopped bleeding. I picked up the knife and other things covered in blood and threw them on the sheet. I turned on the shower to wash away the blood and cleaned the blood on the ground.

I went to the living room to find Lisa's phone. I needed to make excuses as to why Lisa couldn't meet them or where she was. To buy some time. I unlocked her phone with her fingerprint and opened her messages.

The first contact was Henry. The last message he sent her was "I love you" with a heart emoji, which was a reply to Lily's text, "I love you". At 11:54 PM. So Lisa was cheating on him. And of course me. Lisa was the extrovert in the relationship. Their texts were full of Lisa getting dry replies from him. Did she get bored?

The next contact was her mom, Beatrice. She was too overprotective of Lisa. Lisa would send her pictures of whatever was happening in her life. No selfies, whatsoever. She could be a threat.

As I was looking through her phone, I heard someone walk up behind me. My heart raced through my chest. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around.

"Hello there, mate"
