He left. He wasn't there in the morning. I was tied to a chair with that mess in front of me. It was making me sick in the stomach. I saw a knife lying by my side on the floor. I pushed my body and tumbled on the floor. I tried my best to grab that knife and eventually, I got a hold of it. I cut the ropes tied to my wrists and my legs.

I was starving. I hadn't eaten for a day. But the bloody mess in front of me didn't make me want to eat anything. Blood was everywhere. It even sprayed out on the floor. I took the plastic sheet and folded it. I swept the floor and made sure not to leave any traces behind. Wrapping it all in a black plastic bag, I was ready to go, ready to get out of this mess.

I left a note on her living room table. I went out of her apartment, dragging the bag with me. It was 4 in the morning so no one was in the corridor. I took the emergency stairs to the ground floor. I can not risk going in the elevator. I could not risk anything. It was going to be a long journey down.

As I reached downstairs, I opened the boot of my car and threw the plastic bag in it. I got behind the steering wheel and drove off. No one saw anything. I was safe... for now.

There was a cemetery on the outskirts of the city. There won't be anyone there this early. That was an abandoned cemetery now. It was covered by trees from three sides. Everything was going perfectly so far but still I had to be careful. Not let my guard down.

I took a right turn on the main road and drove nearly half a kilometre until I reached the end. I turned off my engine and looked through the window to my left side. There were huge black doors locked by a rusty lock and a heavy chain. On the top of the doors, there was written...

'Koimeterion'

It was the Latin word for cemetery, meaning place of rest. I stepped out of my car and I caught a glimpse of a broken wall. I opened my car's boot space and carried the bag out. It was pretty heavy but nothing I can't pick up. I set it on the ground and grabbed the shovel from the car. This wasn't the first time I was burying a body.

I carried the bag on my shoulder and the shovel in my hand. Finding an empty space, I lurked around the many tombstones with many bones underneath. I found a place in the corner of the cemetery. I set the bag down.

I started digging to dump the body into the ground. My shovel hit something hard. I dug the area around it. It was a bone. A mutilated corpse was right beneath where I was standing. "Fuck it", I thought to myself. I dumped the body out of the plastic bag. I started throwing her body parts one by one into the pit with the skeleton of a dead person maybe a long time ago.

As I picked up her right arm, I noticed that her thumb was missing. It was cut off. I didn't remember Arthur cutting off her thumb and putting it in his back pocket. As a souvenir? Where did her thumb go?

I threw her arm into the pit and covered it with the soil. Lisa was free. It was probably meant to be. The only thing I had to do was find her thumb and get rid of it for good. And for that, even if I didn't like it, I had to find...

'Arthur'
