as a catholic, I think that the community isn't a sin. Cus ngl, I was conflicted to it once, when I heard about what Polyamory was when I was like what, 10 or 11- I was pretty conflicted with it cus I grew up religious, and I thought it was like adultery (cheating/affairs), but when I read about it more, I think it was acceptable bc it was consensual. As long as their relationship is happy and okay, I think its best to just respect and leave them alone. I don't think that I, should always, involve religion in some couples relationship(s) that isn't my business.
I think it's better to educate yourself first before you judge, to look into it first before you're even against it, or with it, and to set limits/boundaries.
I, myself, I don't really care if some people are homophobic. They can be homophobic, but they should still be respectful and kind either way.
We can't tell people what to side with, or to be against with, but we can always tell, and help them, how to act to being a more decent being with respect, rather than being an insensitive and forceful one who pushes their perspective onto others that could harm people. ^_^
(Side note- or side thought, lol!) I do think that it is pretty hypocritical when a Christian does say that a homosexual person, or those in the LGBTQIA+ community will burn in hell for loving who they want to love, or just being a part of it really. Like, what happened to "Love thy neighbor"?? I know the bible may have some verses that are against the LGBTQIA+ community, but that doesn't mean we should act like that, to tell them that they'll burn in hell. There's other heinous actions- heinous crimes going out there, rather than being in the LGBTQIA+ community. Literally demonizing a community that are able to express themselves for who they are.
