Finally quiet. So much had happened today. The Extermination, Forced teleportation, Alastor vs. Sir Pentious and Princess Charlotte getting way too close for comfort. And with such a giddy attitude as well. She had certainly become a laughing stock recently.
It was expected that she be talked down to or brushed off, even out in public. But optimistic push over not not, she was the Princess. Katie Killjoy had some balls, fighting her on live television for all to see. If Lucifer actually given a shit to watch their news channel, it might have been wiped off this plane of existence by now.
He slowly scrunched his brow at the thought of the other two. Vaggie might be his best friend. She wanted nothing to do with him, and hopefully it would stay that way. Sounds like a best friend to him.
Any woman who would keep their distance from him, was a good woman. A lesbian? Even better.
Angel? Automatic no. Any idiot with a brain would see an immature addict with issues. Definitely the biggest headache.
Husk sighed before taking the last swig of his bottle, then chucked it in the bin under the bar, causing the countless others to rattle like glass bowling pins. At least it was finally over. He might as well take a nap. Noone was showing up after all that mayhem. It was late in the day anyway.
"Hey Husk!" Said a very squeaky voice from the other side of the bar. Husk already knew. "Niffty! Whats up?" Husk exclaimed half heartedly. Trying to sound at least a little happy to see her, which he was.
She scuttled on all fours to the top of the counter and launched into his neck, wrapping him with her small arms.
"I didn't think I was ever gonna see you again." She said softly, slowly letting him go.
Husk scoffed lightly, but noticeably. "It's only been a year Niff."
Niffty only looked at him sadly. Once... she was sweet on him. While she has toned it down, it's clear she held him in high regard. Husk wouldn't admit it, but on some days, it really made him feel something he wasn't proud of.
But it was something he knew he needed, and wouldn't get anywhere else. He put more effort into being polite when she was around.
"... I missed you a little bit, i guess. It was a quiet year." He commented quietly, so his words couldn't be heard from too far away.
She knew he liked his privacy. So before he got cranky she accepted the short conversation for what it was, smiled and began to leave.
"Oh! By the way..." She said turning around much faster than she needed to. "There's a bistro in the neighborhood that Alastor doesn't like... if you wanna get something to eat this week." Husk only nodded in response.
She stared at him for only a moment with that big smile of hers, before walking out slowly.
Husk waited as long as he could before letting out a long sigh. It would ne a nice change of scenery compared to this Hotel.
Aside from being dirty, Husk couldn't see anything wrong with it. But ones state of mind tends to determine their outlook. And his interaction with Niffty did lighten his mood slightly. And he may have been hammered.
"Husk..." Said a 'mysterious' figure warping beside him. "What is it?" He said not wanting to drag things out. Turning around to see that "Red Ass Hole," he knew there were more orders by the smug smile he wore.
"I hope you weren't planning on going anywhere tonight my friend! There is so much to accomplish!"
'That damn excited tone of his never ceases to annoy' Husk thought.
