The Sevestar League Hall did not look like a place built for children.
Ash stood beneath its arched entrance with Alice, Serena, Lillie, Reisa, and Insey, staring at pillars carved with all eighteen type symbols. Sunlight fell through colored glass above them, scattering red, blue, green, gold, violet, and silver across the marble floor.
Serena looked up at the ceiling. "It looks like a castle and a museum became one building."
Alice folded her arms, though her eyes kept moving. "It also looks expensive."
Reisa smiled. "That usually means adults are about to give speeches."
Ash groaned softly. "I hope not too many."
Aurora heard him from the steps ahead and gave him a warning look that still carried a smile. "Important things sometimes require speeches."
Adam stood beside her in his Champion cloak, the black and gold fabric moving behind him as the hall doors opened. He looked like the leader everyone expected him to be: Champion of Sevestar, head of Team Alpha, and a Ketchum whose name carried history.
Ash knew the secret beneath that title.
Adam was not only human. He carried Arceus within him, disguised in human form, and he was one of the strongest Aura users Ash knew. That truth made the Champion's hall feel heavier, because the people gathering here were not only leaders of a region.
They were people trusted to stand between Sevestar and danger.
Adam looked back at the children. "Today is not a normal League tour."
Lillie clasped her hands together. "Is this about Team Terror?"
"Partly," Adam said. "You have met too many threats to think the League is only about badges. Before the next operation, I want you to understand who protects this region and why each of them matters."
Ash looked toward the long hallway beyond the doors.
Portraits and holographic panels waited inside, glowing softly like stars lined along a path.
"So this is a lesson," Ash said.
Aurora touched his shoulder as she passed. "It is a lesson before a storm."
The main chamber held four raised seats beneath the Champion's platform.
Ash had seen battle arenas before, but this room felt different. There was no battlefield marked on the floor. Instead, a circular map of Sevestar spread across the center, with lights marking cities, mountains, towers, resorts, and hidden facilities.
The Elite Four stood around that map.
Vincent waited with his arms crossed, broad-shouldered and steady, his presence carrying the calm confidence of someone who had won both battles and wrestling rings. Beside him stood Sakura, no longer Pauline in Ash's mind or anyone else's. Her dark hair was tied back neatly, and her eyes kept drifting toward Drandon and Lucine, who stood with Lance near one wall.
Isabelle leaned against a pillar with a cello case beside her, elegant and quiet. Colress stood near the map, adjusting a device with the distracted focus of a man who would rather repair machines than endure ceremony.
Adam stepped onto the Champion platform. "Ash, Alice, Serena, Lillie, Reisa, Insey, this is the Sevestar League as it stands now."
Ash looked at the four seats. "Vincent is first, right?"
Vincent smiled faintly. "At the pinnacle, depending on whether you ask the ranking committee or my daughter after training."
"Eri would say she is first," Sakura said.
