"Makoto!" calls the man.

The man's name is Mercutio, Mercutio who became a father to Makoto; he lives alone before, here in this secluded mountain.

His wife and his daughter died on an accident five years ago.

He remembers what happened that time...

It was raining, it happened on June 21, 2010, same day as now... it was a day for fathers, it was a day for... me.

My daughter won a lottery, a vacation trip on London's famous attractions, she hide it to me because she wanted to surprise me.

I anticipated the day to come...

I was very happy...

My wife also prepares a surprise for me; she ordered a wine, a dozen of it, she sure loves the wine.

She booked us on the most prestigious hotel in town and it was an honor for me...

I am very excited and I cannot even wait for the day to come...

Finally, the day has come... the day... of an end.

I am driving that time, beside me is my wife Ellienor she was busy reading those entire magazine, at the back you can see my daughter engrossed at her cp listening to her favorite song.

We were talking happily with each other we are even joking while driving... it was a nice trip actually...

Then suddenly at the middle of the road, there was a truck, the driver take turns but it hit our car, I tried hard to avoid it but it is too late.

The last thing I remember is the loud scream of my daughter and my wife... then after that, I see blood flowing rapidly, the next thing I know is that I am alive... but they were gone.

I tried to bring them at the nearest hospital but it was too late, they were dead on the spot.

Tears run down in my cheeks for the first time the night became so cold that I feel like dying, it was an early winter for me.

"Daddy, daddy", Makoto calls at him...

He did not answer; he was deep in his thought.

"Dad! Dad!" Makoto calls again.

Finally, his back in this world... he then looks at Makoto.

"What is it, son?"

"Why are you crying dad?"

Mercutio look at his adopted son, he look curious to the sudden sadness he sees in me...

Can a child understands parents sadness to his loss or can they even comport the emptiness I feel?

Makoto reaches his hand and open his palm, he put something inside then he closes it again, after that he give back his hand with a smile.

With a curiosity, he opens his palm then he sees a three-leaf clover...

Mercutio look at Makoto as if to say what is with this.

"The first leaf", Makoto started, "you can see that it wasn't nourishing yet so I want to take care and give the remaining nutrients."

He pointed the second leaf..., "this part has enough of nutrients already just like when we have enough love we can just protect it so that it will be there always", then he pointed the last leaf, "hear at this point, this leaf is already dying I want to take care of it to prolong it's life."

"So what do you mean?"

"Life is like this three leaf clover in your palm, there was a cycle in it; the moment when we are learning, when we need protection and the moment when we are down. "

He smiles... "How a child can say something inspiring like this", he thought.

"You know what son; I think life is more than a three leaf clover."

"Why?"

"Life is like a once in a lifetime chance offered to you, it's either you grab the opportunity or you will let it go."

Makoto stares at him as if to say, "I don't get it."

He smiles, "son, I don't think you'll understand but me seeing you is one of the reward in life and me losing my family is one of the opportunity."

Makoto smiles and said, "I think dad I get what you mean and that is why the most struggle in life is what makes life interesting."
