Sage leaped into marigold patch and rolled onto Dewy.
"Get off!" Dewy giggled her eyes beaming bright, the green in them glowing.
"Alright, let's get the marigold!!!!" squealed Sage, scrambling off Dewy and tugging at stems of marigold. "Ewww, this tastes weird..." she spat out the marigold and began to lick off the taste onto her fur.
"That's because you're not supposed to eat it silly" she bat Sage lightly on the head and picked up Sage's marigold and dropped it all over Sage's head, "Aaw, you're like a little flower cat now"
Sage wrinkled her nose and blew the leaf off her face, "What was that for?" she asked.
"Because you are very, very cute" Dewy answered her sentence becoming muffled as she picked up more marigold. She got a leaf and rolled the marigold into a bundle and wrapped it with the leaf and plopped it on the floor. "Now do the same with yours" she instructed. Sage rolled her leaves into a messy bundle and Dewy looked like she was trying to contain a laugh. She unrolled Sage's leaf mess and rolled the marigold into an actual bundle then wrapped it up. "Here you go" she mewed, passing the leaf bundle to Sage.
"Thank you!" thanked Sage picking up the bundle her older sister had just given to her. She liked collecting herbs with Dewy, it was fun. She also felt bad for Vixen since she had to go collecting with Pebble and Dewy was way much more fun than with him. And Sage had to admit that she wouldn't swap with Vixen even though that was selfish, it was just that Dewy is better than Pebble.
. . .
Sage organised the bundles together and they were neat and tidy. "Finally..." mewed Sage happily. Blossom entered the herb storage and stepped on all the bundles then squished them more. "Uugh you made such a mess Sage" she mewed, still squishing them, "I'm telling on you!" she said.
"Nooo!!!! I didn't do anything! You squished them! I'm telling on you" Sage stalked out of the storage and padded towards Willow's den when a claw hooked her tail and picked her up.
"Anyone, I tell you, anyone who tries telling on me, will be severely punished" she growled. With Sage still hooked on her claw, she walked to a waterfall and loosened her gripped. Sage's heart was pounding quickly in fear, when something charged at their way.
"Let go of her!!!" yelled Dewy, pushing Blossom onto the floor, "Are you okay?" she asked Sage, concern glittering in her eyes.
"Yes I think so" said Sage, blinking.
"That's good." Dewy mewed, "Why are you hurting Sage!" Dewy growled but before she could finish her sentence, Blossom leaped on her and started clawing at her face, stomach, legs and Dewy's entire body. Sage watched gingerly as her sister fought her other sister and as Dewy yowled and shrieked but Blossom continued.
There was an evil glint in Blossom's eyes as she cackled. "This is fun..." she sighed with glee, continuing to claw. "Except, I'm bored of it now" she mewed, then she kicked Dewy away, "Bye!" she said happily.
"Are you okay?" asked Sage, fretting. Her only though being blood.
"Don't worry" she gasps, "Remember the herbs?" Suddenly, Sage remembers the herbs and she rushes into the forest. She finds a patch of marigold, plucks it all up, then horsetail, then cobwebs. Sage then sprinted back, tripping over brambles and thorns, stinging her, but Sage ignores it, it's not that bad, she thought.
"I'm here!" she squeals. Sage ran to Dewy, observed the wounds and chewed the marigold then placed it carefully on Dewy's wounds then placed cobwebs. She then rolled up the horsetail in a bundle and put it beside her, "In case it gets infected" she mewed. Dewy's eyes beamed with pride then dulled with pain.
"Good job..." she said. Sage then remembered that poppy seeds soothed pain and she ran quickly to get them and gave only one to Dewy. "That feels better, sister" she sighed, closing her eyes.
It was sunset now, when it was originally suhigh, but Sage was grateful that at least Dewy was still alive. She felt her older sister wake up beside her, her green eyes opening up. "Thanks" mewed Dewy happily. "C'mon lets go back Sage" said Dewy, getting up and wincing uin pain then starting to walk. Sage followed after her and they finally got to the storage room where all the smooshed up herbs were and Sage plopped down the horsetail and followed Dewy out of the storage.
"Why do you have all these wounds?" snapped Willow, looking Dewy all over, "You're such a careless brat you spoiled kit"
"I um" Dewy gulped, "Blossom attacked me and clawed me and I got wounded" she answered her answer becoming quieter as she finished. Blossom whipped a glare at Dewy and bared her teeth. Sage also saw Thorn mouth 'brat'.
"What did you say?" snapped Willow.
"I-I mean I was being foolish and injured myself" she answered.
"Good." Willow mewed icily, "Go clean up now, Sage you come to the den with me, it's time to sleep"
