                    Past Ezzah pov:

I came back after eating and then got a call, which I picked up.

"Assalamualaikum," I said.

I was shocked to hear the voice on the other end.

"How are you, my best friend, my beloved one?"

"Rehan, you?" I said, shocked.

"Yeah, it's me, your lover."

"How dare you call me?" I snapped.

"Princess, you're beautiful, and I can't live without you."

"What is the problem? Why did you call me, and where did you get my number?"

"Forget all that. Has Talha reached you yet?" Rehan asked.

"Talha?" I was even more shocked after hearing his name.

"Yes, Princess, Talha is coming to Lahore to pick you up, but alas, he won’t be able to reach you."

"What do you mean? What did you do to Talha?"

"I haven't done anything yet, but I can."

"You're his friend! He cares about you so much, Rehan. He trusts you more than himself, and you're doing this to him? Allah will never forgive you for these things," I said, my voice filled with anger.

"Blah, blah, blah... Are you done? Or do you have something else to say?" Rehan said, tired of my words.

"Why am I even talking to a person like you?" I hung up the mobile and threw it on the bed.

The next day, while I was busy with housework with my grandmother, there was a knock on the door. My grandmother asked me to open it, and I was surprised when I did.

"You?" I exclaimed.

"Yes, it's me, Rehan," he said as he stepped into the house.

"What are you doing here? And how did you find out where I live?"

"Oh, address? Remember, you answered my call yesterday, so I hacked your number. And now, here we are, sweetheart."

"Please, go!" I begged him.

"Hey, how can I leave now? We still have to get married."

"I will never marry a person who betrays his friend."

"But you have to, if you want to save Talha's life."

"What have you done?" I asked, trembling.

"Well, listen... When you left, Talha came to stop you, but you were already gone. He searched everywhere for you, but couldn't find you. Then, he got into an accident. And guess who caused that accident? Me." He grinned while circling around me.

"If you're not ready to marry me, then think about what I should do to Talha."

"Ya Rabb, how are you testing me?" I thought to myself as he grabbed my hands and shook me.

Feeling disgusted, I pushed him hard, making him fall to the ground.

"Don’t even think about touching me again, or you'll regret it."

He stood up and said, "Okay, I'll give you three years. But after that, you will marry me."

"Three years?"

"You think I'm crazy? I know you're just trying to find Talha and run away with him."

"I said I'll marry you."
