Fumble's in Bloom
"Almost there, flower!" She called out, her step much faster than your own.
You were accompanying your partner to her happy place, which is quite obvious as to what it is.
You huff and puff, getting your hands off your knees, as you gather enough energy for one final run for it "Coming!"
The garden. At this point, it could be called a nightmare at its best- because, you are sure not a demon before you was stressing over grass as much as you were currently.
The metaphorical seeds buried themselves deep within you, and planted a certain fear you cannot escape-,
a fear of disappointing.
But you were willing to attempt to endure the scary garden solely because of a single, very important person.
-Vine Staff, who was at the moment everything that you weren't. Relaxed, joyful, and more than ecstatic to put it simply.
She pulled you alongside her, opening the overgrown metallic gates of the garden with her other arm.
One foot inside, and she was slowly falling into her element. Highlight of her day was tending to her garden, and having you tag along made her happiness intensify tenfold.
Today, on the to-do list was teaching! More specifically, teaching you how to be a professional gardener. From understanding roots, to handling them. She 'plants' to teach you all she knows!
And you dread that. What if you mess something up? -yes, that sounded like a 'oh noo, woe is me, poor mee, whaw will i doo" type of statement, but the worry was real. For starters- you weren't good at keeping things alive. You weren't a professional plant knower or a gardener. You were just a regular ol' lad who pays the bills and works- and who can't keep a cactus alive because of 'too much sunlight'. IT'S A CACTUS. IT LITERALLY GROWS IN LOST TEMPLE, WHAT'S THERE MORE TO SAY.
Vine walked to the center of the garden, as you awkwardly settled on standing off to the side, trying not to step on anything important in the process. The feeling was unnervingly familiar, like getting picked for dodgeball.
"Okay- let's begin!" She clasped her hands together, her words cherry and gentle. The smoothness of her voice, as if adorned by honey and everything sweet never seemed to fail to get to you- always made you feel just a tad better. Yet, still your thoughts screamed.
"Something easier to start off our lessions with would be.." she looked around her garden, gaze trailing over the second love of her life. "Aloe vera!"
Once again, she pulled you along the way towards the overgrown bush of aloa. Taking a stance next to it as if infront of a class, she begun presenting about it.
"This is a Aloe Vera, a succulent plant!' she explained, gesturing at the herb "It is called so, because its leaves store a lot of sap.."
"Sap?" You ask, tilting your head as you gather courage to approach the plant.
"Water, basically." she tries to dumb it down just for you. Oh jeez what do people normally say when conversations happen-
"So like, plant juice?" Nailed it.
Vine snickers "That's one way to put it."
You hum, allowing her to continue. Okay, not a bad start. That's a question, yeah.
"It was not native to Thieves Den, but rather brought over from Lost Temple region over a thousand years ago."
She informs.
