"So I am finally moving to the sultanas' wing as well... Where exactly are my new chambers?"
I ask curiously and smugly as I play with a lock of my hair.I am watching concubines carrying my things out of the favourites' wing while I talk to Ayse and Nigar Kalfa and get ready for the day.
"Your personal chambers are spacious and adorned with only the finest furnishings. You will have concubines for your comfort as your pregnancy involves." Nigar Kalfa is explaining and that makes me turn around.
"Concubines?" I ask suspiciously as I watch the last chests being carried.
"What's wrong now?" Nigar asks.
"Who sends those maids? The Valide?" I eye Ayse since I know she won't lie to me.
"Allah-Allah! I also met them, don't worry, dear." She replies as she takes my arm and the two of us giggle as we start to walk towards my new chambers.
"Wow. Yusra, I love your chambers. I don't know about you!" Ayse says as I look around my room.
"They are not for you, Ayse Hatun! Do not think that you will live here." Nigar tells her disapprovingly.
"Okay well I also like them!" I smile as I turn around, nodding.
"Now I want to meet my maids." I say as I it down on the sofa.
Nigar Kalfa gestures and three girls around my age enter.
"They will take care of your every need. They have been carefully selected, each of them highly skilled and loyal to the Sultan." She says and gives me a smile.
"Good but they should also be loyal to me. Ready to do absolutely everything for me!" I state making Nigar and Ayse eye each other.
"I was the one poisoned not you." I say as I feel a little annoyed by their reaction.
"You're right, Yusra but rest assured. Your safety will always be a priority. No one would dare harm you." Nigar says after a long time pause.
