I laughed in glee as I raced around the forest with Pikachu. She had finally started talking to me again, it took a few days but it was worth the wait.

"How has your training been going? Have you mastered learning Thunderbolt yet?" I asked, and Pikachu shook her head.

"Nope, not yet, I hope I get it down soon though" She muttered, looking down at her feet. I sighed and gave my friend a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry Pikachu, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually. You just need to keep practicing." I said and she nodded with a small smile on her face. Silence feel on the two of us before Pikachu was the one to break it.

"Sorry for the way I have been acting lately, I shouldn't have acted that way towards you." She said, lowering her ears and staring at me with sad eyes. I sighed and looked up at her with a playful grin.

"Pikachu, you've said that like thirty times already and I said I didn't blame you, it's behind us now, so drop it you silly bunny." I said, and Pikachu giggled at me and we made our way back to camp for lunch.

"Welcome back you two!" Me and Pikachu turned to see Firestorm, the Fennekin running towards us. She was pretty energetic and sassy, but that's who Firestorm is all the time, and besides, her boundless energy can make even the grumpiest Pokémon or cat happy.

"Hi Firestorm! It's nice to see you so full of energy." I say, smiling brightly at the small fox who smiled back at us. Firestorm and her younger sister, Cinderheart, are both really energetic and sweet Pokémon.

"Glameow, Pikachu, what have you two been up to all day?" Flurry asked, walking up and taking a seat next to me and Pikachu.

"Nothing much, just playing tag and helping Pikachu learn ember" I say, looking up at Flurry with wide eyes.

"Have you had any luck Pikachu?" Flurry asked, looking in Pikachu's direction. Pikachu sighed softly and shook her head.

"No luck" she said, frowning and looking at me with small sigh.

"I'm sure you'll get it eventually." Flurry said and Pikachu laughed. I had said the exact same thing to Pikachu earlier.

"I said the same thing to Pikachu earlier." I said, laughing quietly at Flurry who chuckled and smiled brightly at both me and Pikachu.

"You two must be starving after running around all afternoon, am I right?" Flurry questioned and me and Pikachu nodded.

"We haven't eaten since sun high." I replied and Flurry nodded her head and went to get some food for us.

"Here's some fish." Flurry said, putting some fish next to us and we began to eat the fish that Flurry had brought.

"I didn't know that you liked fish Pikachu?" I said, and Pikachu laughed quietly and rubbed the back of her neck with a sheepish smile on her face.

"Yeah, I like fish. I ate a lot of fish in the wild before I met you and your friends." Pikachu quietly explained, as she looked at me with a cheeky grin on her face.

"You never told me that." I replied, and Pikachu smiled sheepishly and looked down at her feet.

"I guess I didn't, did I?" She said and I shook my head with a small laugh.

"C'mon, let's go train some more. You want to learn an electric-type move don't you Pikachu?" I asked, and she nodded rapidly in response. I laughed as we cleaned up and headed back into the forest to train.

"I think we should run around for a bit first." Pikachu said and I gave a small sigh. And Pikachu snickered while taping me on the shoulder and running into the thick it of trees.

"Hey! No fair! Get back here right this minute Sparks!" I meowed while Pikachu turned and blew a raspberry at me laughing while doing so.

"Hey, Pikachu! Get back here!" I called as Scorbunny finally stoped running.

"That was fun! Wasn't it Glameow?" Pikachu says, smiling up at me as she fought her breath.

"Sure, whatever you say Pikachu. Now that your done running around, let's start your training." I say and Pikachu nods in excitement, jumping up and down.

"Okay, Pikachu, I have an idea. Use Quick Attack but run in place." I said, and she bud and begins to use quick attack while running in place.

"Now Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt and stick your tail into the ground!" I shouted, and with the electricity sparking from her cheeks, she jumped up and kicked a ball of lighting into the air with a powerful hit of her tail

"I did it! Litten I really did it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Pikachu says, squeezing in excitement as she ran around the clearing.

The light was fading by the time I could see anything other than waving grass. The lowering sun in the west tinted the sky a dusky orange, and the trees of the small clearing ahead of us was casting long shadows.

We walk past the border marks, and finally come in site of camp. We both let out excited squeals, and run into camp. And as I suspected, both Flurry and Dawnmist were waiting for us outside of the entrance to Flurry's den.

"Did you two have any luck with Pikachu's training?" Flurry asked, and Pikachu nodded rapidly in response. Flurry chuckled softly and stared down at the energetic Pikachu.

"Show us! Show us! Show us!" Dawnmist cried, as she jumped up and down with excitement. Pikachu giggled and nodded.

"Wow! So you found a way for Pikachu to use Thunderbolt by using Quick Attack while running in place?" Flurry asked, smiling brightly at me and Pikachu.
