Vivian POV:

As I see What may be a Koopa in an egg, I just chuckled softly

"Kid, please move out of the way, we need to get throug-" before I could finish, the jerk bit my finger, as I jumped back and hopped on one foot, nursing my hand whilst trying not to trip over my own legs.

"Kid, don't make me fight you, spoiled brat"

In response, the kid just cracked her knuckles. And started running towards us, Clearly no intent on stopping, I held my hammer from the large end, using the stick to keep distance.

"Goombella! What are you special traits?"

I was currently pushing the kid back each time she got too close. The grass ripping a bit more each team I needed to do so.

"Well, I can look up their stats in my book which may be able to help!"

She kept trying to bite me so I just nodded.

"Good! Do that please!"

Goombella nodded and flipped through her book before smiling, flipping faster then anybody I have seen.

"This is Jr Koopa, Attack is 1, Defence is 0, and health is 5!" She showed the book to face me. Jumping a little.

I nodded and grabbed the hammer, bonking the kid on the head, causing her shell to attach to the other half of the shell. Just get legs and feet were now visible as she ran away.

"That was... something..." I couldn't help but pant as I was already exhausted... This was gonna be a long journey...

Goombella knelt down to grab some green balls with stars inside of them. I couldn't tell if she knew she was putting her large ass on display. But I just grabbed the bridge of my nose and looked away as she got up and put them in my pocket.

"These will help us level up, collect as many as you can. Okay?" She held my hands together. Before letting go with a blush, moving her arms behind her back as she swayed slightly.

"I just hope we don't have to fight much anymore... do you know what happened to Mario?" I asked as we began making our way to toad town.

"Mario? Who's that?" She said, I couldn't help but chuckle. "You know, super famous plumber? You helped them fight bowser once" I asked, slightly worried. Why couldn't anybody remember Mario?

"Doesn't ring a super bell, sorry." She said as she made sure she was right beside me. As Goomba stood in place to look for People. She stood there and jumped as she pointed.

"Goomba Trio! Attack!" The first one said, as  a Goomba with wings, and a Goomba with a spike helmet charged. A small dust cloud flowing behind them from the dirt they were kicking up.

I couldn't help but notice where we were now. It was an old stage. As the curtains opened. I saw a few Goomba's clap and jump as 'the show' started. There were fake tree's, rocks, and clouds in the back.

"You know how this works Right Vivian?"

I turned to Goombella. "Yeah, we beat them up and leave, right?"

She shook her head, chuckling a bit, her hair waving with each movement. "No, first one of us takes a turn, then the other. Then they all get to attack. It's how street fights work"

I tilted my head "isn't it 'the street has no rules'?" She nodded "yeah but this is the only exception. Plus we are on a stage hun"

I couldn't help but blush from what she called me, so I looked at them and back at Goombella.
"So... What are my options?" Goombella sighed and began explaining. About 20 minutes later. The Goomba's had already fallen asleep. So I just let Goombella attack first.

"Do the Tattle Thing! Quietly though"

She nodded in response as she tiptoed up and looked through her book.

"Goomba's are the small fry's, the smallest of fries- wait I'm one!- anyway. Health is 2, attack is 1, defence is 0"

I nodded and walk up up, jumping in the air and landing on the Goomba, deciding to go for a second hit I do a small flip and land on her again. Leaving her to vanish and leave a few star points in her place.

The flying Goomba had woken up at this point. Leaving us to notice it's pow block in its grasp. As it throws it towards the ground. We are left in a bit of shock.
