Dean, Sam, and Y/n all made their way into the small cabin. The three would be staying there because they were again wanted by the police, thanks to the Leviathan pretending to be them.

Y/n sighed, dropping her bag on the floor and going to lay on the couch. "This sucks." She muttered. "Hey, at least we get a vacation out of it!" Dean grinned at her. She rolled her eyes in response.

"Come on y/n/n, it could be worse." Sam smiled at her, and she couldn't help but give in. "Yeah, I guess you two are right. We should enjoy our time off." She said as her eyes started to flutter shut. It was getting late, and she was exhausted.

Sam studied her tired face, mentally capturing the moment. Dean rolled his eyes. He's known about his brother's "crush" on their best friend forever. He didn't understand why he wouldn't just tell her. It was obvious that she felt the same way. Every time Dean tried to tell Sam about her staring or fan-girling over him, Sam would tefuse to believe it.

Sam picked up Y/n bag and started to walk to one of the two bedrooms in the cabin. "Where are you going with that?" Y/n sat up, "I was just taking it to the bedroom. You should probably get to bed, you look really tired." Sam explained softly, Dean rolled his eyes and made his way to the other bedroom. He didn't feel like watching the two, so obviously flirting with each other.

"What? No, I can take the couch." She said, getting up. "No, come on. You always have to take the couch or floor. You deserve this," He grinned back at her. She felt her cheeks heat up, but Sam didn't notice.

She lunged for the bag with her arm to grab it, but Sam pulled it away quickly. "Nuh uh, you're taking the bed." He mumbled before turning around and entering the bedroom.

Y/n was following right behind him, and he tossed the bag on the floor. "Goodnight y/n/n," He said, turning to leave. Sam felt a hand grab his, and he felt a tingling sensation through his body. He glanced down at her hand, gripping his. And felt his mouth go dry from nervousness. "Sammy?" She said softly, slowly he turned back around. He looked down at her while she looked back up at him.

There was a clear tension in the room. "Why don't you just stay here with me?" She asked, a small smile tugging at her lips. Sam's eyes grew a bit wider, and Y/n felt the need to explain herself. "I mean, we've been friends for so long. It's not like it'll mean anything." She clarified.

"Yeah, okay." Sam nodded a little too enthusiastically. Y/n caught on about his feelings for her a long time ago. She figured he was just too shy to admit it to her. So, she decided she'd have to be the one to say something about it. God knows Sam wouldn't.

"Go get your bag then," Y/n suggested, "Oh, right." Sam responded, quickly leaving the room. Y/n made her way to her bag, pulling out plaid pajama shorts and a plain tank top.

Sam entered the room again, bag in hand. He hesitated before closing the door behind him. When he turned back around, he made eye contact with Y/n.

She pulled her shirt above her head and threw it to the side, Sam shifted his gaze to his bag to grab his clothes, too. He refused to look in her direction out of respect, and Y/n found it almost endearing. She wondered how he still hadn't gotten the hint. She wouldn't just change in front of anyone.

By the time Y/n was finished changing, Sam had finished, too. She climbed into bed, knowing tonight would be the night Sam would find out about her feelings for him. She patted the space next to her, signaling for him to come and lay with her.

She could see the anxiety building up in his face. She felt bad. She didn't want to scare him. "Sam? Are you okay?" She asked, giving him a warm smile. The small act only caused his face to go redder. Without another word, he climbed under the covers next to her.

Sam went to turn off the light, but Y/n grabbed his arm, stopping him. Before she could day anything, she admired his strong arms, wondering what it would feel like to have them wrapped around her. "Y/n?" Sam questioned, which snapped her back to reality.

"Oh, um." She struggled to form a sentence, and Sam cocked his head in confusion. Her face became warm, and suddenly, she had lost all her confidence. "You okay?" He asked her, adjusting himself so all of his attention was on her.

"What am I to you?" She blurted bluntly. Sam's eyes widened, "What do you mean?" Y/n took a deep breath in before continuing. "What am I to you, Sam?" She asked again, more calmer than the first time. "You are my bestfriend." He tried to sound convincing but failed.

Y/n sighed, and a grin appeared on her face. "Bullshit." She breathed. Sam's jaw dropped a little. Did Dean tell her? He was unable to respond, not knowing what the hell to say.

"You really don't see it, do you?" She chuckled, and he shook his head. His eyes narrowed. He wished he knew what she was thinking. "It doesn't take an idiot to figure it out, you know?" She teased, and he rolled his eyes. "Will you just spit it out." He laughed nervously.

"Okay, fine." She said as she let her hands brush against the skin of his neck and pulling him closer to her. Sam couldn't believe this was happening. He simply couldn't process the thought of Y/n actually wanting him.

Slowly Y/n closed the space between them, placing a long sweet kiss on Sam's lips. He smiled against her mouth, he felt true happiness in that moment. They continued to makeout, both of them eager but to scared to push further. Y/n broke the kiss to catch her breath. She glanced back at Sam, his green eyes watching her closely. His shit-eating grin made her roll her eyes.

"Bestfriends kiss all the time right?" She mocked, "Oh shut up." He shot back, pulling her into another passionate kiss.

Y/n pulled back again, "We should probably sleep, we can talk about this in the morning." She said Turing over onto her side, Sam scoffed and he could hear her laughing quietly. He turned off the light and adjusted himself so he was spooning her.

He let his arm wrap around her, pulling her into his chest. They couldn't be any closer. Sam could smell her shampoo, and it made him smile. These next few days at the cabin won't be so bad after all.
