Anushka arrived home, the evening light casting a warm glow through the windows of the Raisinghani mansion. She hurriedly ascended the grand staircase, eager to get ready for her planned outing with Abhira Birla. As she reached the top of the stairs, her father, Rajdeep Raisinghani, was coming out of his study, looking pensive.

"Papa!" Anushka called out as she approached him. "I'm just going to get changed and then head out with Abhira. We have plans for the evening."

Rajdeep's face tightened slightly. "Anushka, I need to talk to you about something first."

Anushka's enthusiasm dimmed. "Can't it wait? I'm already running late."

Rajdeep shook his head. "No, it can't. I don't think it's a good idea for you to go out tonight."

Anushka's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean? Why not?"

Rajdeep's stern expression softened slightly, but his tone remained firm. "I just think it's better if you stay in tonight. There's been a lot going on, and I don't want you out and about."

Anushka frowned, her frustration mounting. "Papa, this isn't fair! It's just an evening out with a friend. Why are you being so overprotective all of a sudden?"

Rajdeep sighed, struggling to find the right words. "It's not about being overprotective. It's about being cautious. You never know what might happen."

Anushka's cheeks flushed with anger. "This is ridiculous! I'm an adult. I can take care of myself. You're always treating me like a child!"

Rajdeep's eyes reflected his concern, but he remained resolute. "Anushka, please, just listen to me this once. I'm doing this because I care about you."

Anushka's frustration reached its peak. "Well, if you really cared, you'd trust me and let me make my own decisions! I'm going to my room. I can't deal with this right now!"

With that, she turned on her heel and stormed up the stairs. Rajdeep watched her go, a mix of worry and helplessness on his face. He wanted to tell her about the threats and his reasons, but he hesitated, not wanting to add to her distress.

Once in her room, Anushka slammed the door behind her, the sound echoing through the mansion. She paced angrily, her emotions boiling over. She grabbed a pillow from her bed and threw it against the wall. The room seemed to tremble with her frustration.

"This isn't fair!" she shouted to no one in particular. "I just wanted to have a normal evening with a friend, and he has to ruin it! Why can't he understand that I need space?"

The tantrum continued, with Anushka flinging various items around her room. It was a rare sight for Rajdeep, who had always seen his daughter as composed and self-assured. He could hear the muffled sounds of her anger from outside her door, his heart aching as he realized how deeply his protective instincts were affecting her.

After a few minutes, Anushka collapsed onto her bed, tears streaming down her face. She stared at the ceiling, feeling a mixture of anger, sadness, and helplessness. The once tranquil atmosphere of her room was now charged with her emotional outburst.

Downstairs, Rajdeep stood outside her room, conflicted. He wanted to comfort her, to explain his actions, but he knew that doing so might only worsen the situation. He sighed heavily, his own emotions raw as he grappled with the delicate balance of protecting his daughter while respecting her growing independence.

For the first time, Rajdeep felt the sting of his own decisions, and he wondered if he had made the right choice.
