The Chronicles of Empress Selenity Serenity

Part 1: Backstory

A/N: This story focuses on my character Selenity Serenity, the twin sister of Serenity, and the oldest daughter of Queen Serenity. This story also goes with the Empress story me and my friend reykenobi2021 created. Now then let's begin! 

What if I told you that Princess Serenity had a older twin sister? 

Well that's who I'm here to tell you about, 

On the moon, Queen Serenity held two bundles of cuteness as she cried tears of joy with her husband Apollo beside her. These two bundles where their twin daughters, the older one with light blonde hair and light blue eyes is named Selenity, while the younger one with golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes is named Serenity. 

The royal couple where proud parents of the two girls. 

But Apollo felt something off about the power levels of his twins, one was stronger than the other. That tends to happen a lot between royals, but his oldest daughter, Selenity. Had powers that exceeded the powers of the Legendary Silver Crystal. It's like this child was supposed to make a huge impact on the world, much like her younger twin. Who is connected to the silver Crystal and will be it's new user. 

But there was no need to stress about that now, he beloved wife just went through multiple hours of labor to bring their beautiful daughters into this world. He walked over to Queen Serenity's bedside, "You did well love," He whispered as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead, 

"Thanks," She said breathlessly, "I'm glad that the babies are healthy." The parents observed their newborn daughters, both were sound asleep in the arms of their mother. "May I hold one?" 

"Of course," Apollo then gently reached and grabbed one of the twins, the one he held happened to be Selenity, his oldest. He held the baby close to him, "They are both so beautiful," He heard his wife say, "I know, they get their beauty from you." His statement caused Queen Serenity to giggle. 

They kept admiring their babies until Queen Serenity's sailor guardians came in to meet the new princesses.

Weeks later a ball was held on the moon in honor of the birth of the princesses, all moon nobility were invited, even the royals of the Earth joined them. Queen Gina and her 3-year-old son Prince Endymion joined the festivities, the two queens happened to be talking while the older sailor guardians watched over the baby princesses. 

"Congratulations on the baby princesses Queen Serenity." Said Queen Gina with a smile, "Thank you very much Queen Gina, I'm glad you and your son could join the party." Responded the silver haired queen, "Oh it was nothing, were happy to be here." 

The small black haired prince looked at the area where the babies where sleeping and his deep ocean blue eyes widened when he saw Queen Aurora of Venus pick up the golden haired baby. Prince Endymion stared at baby Serenity for a good two minutes before his mother caught on. 

"Seems like my son likes one of your daughters." Queen Gina said with a giggle, "Oh which one?" Queen Serenity asked, then the tiny prince pointed his finger. Queen Serenity followed the direction that the little boy was pointing, and noticed that he was pointing at her youngest. "I see so he likes Serenity." the queen giggled and noticed that her husband's face went into overprotective papa mode. 

"Dear calm down, he's only a boy." 

But as the festivities happened a dark aura enveloped the palace. "What is this darkness?" Queen Serenity asked, confused on what was covering her home. "Your Majesty!" Called Luna, her cat and royal advisor. "What's the matter Luna?" Queen Serenity asked as she got to her knees and looked at the cat. 

"It's the mirror in the royal quarters, someone has walked through!" The queen stood up and her husband joined her. "We have to be ready for anything." Apollo said to his wife, the small sailor guardians, the daughters of Queen Serenity's guardians, stood guard of the baby princesses. 

"Protect the princesses!" Cried Minako, the new Sailor Venus. "Right," responded the other guardians. 

Right at that moment a woman with long black hair with silver eyes and gold slits in her eyes, and a long black gown, entered the room. The aura around this woman was anything but friendly, yet she entered with a smile. "Oh what's the fuss about?" the unwanted guest asked, "Who are you and what are you doing in my kingdom?" Queen Serenity asked, "How do you not know me? For those who don't know, I'm Queen Nehalenia of the New Moon's darkness." The smirk on Queen Nehalenia's face gave away her true intentions. "What are you doing in my kingdom?" Queen Serenity asked again, her lavender purple eyes glittering with anger as she clenched her first. 

"I came to congratulate you on your children, Queen Serenity." Nehalenia chuckled, "In fact, why don't I give both of them a gift?" 

"I don't like this aura." Said Rei, "It's evil," 

"Right," Minako turned to the queen, "Auntie! Don't let her give a gift to the princesses, it could be a curse." 

Queen Serenity heard the young blonde and nodded. "You are not welcome on my side of the moon." 

"Oh but don't you know, darkness accompanies the light," Said Nehalenia, "I'll give you 10 seconds to leave the premises of my palace." Queen Serenity summoned the moon stick and got ready to use the silver Crystal to seal this vial being into the mirror in which she came. 

"Not before I've given the babies my gift." She lifted her hand and back magic flowed out from her hand. "Your oldest daughter will go through multiple reincarnations over the course of 1,000 years before she can have a happy ending and be reunited with her family. As for your youngest, she will die before she ever inherits the moon throne." As Nehalenia talked the babies cried and Queen Serenity used the crystal to seal Nehalenia away. 

Once the vial monster was gone, the queen fell to her knees as tears feel from her eyes. Apollo took a knees and wrapped his arm around his wife. "Bring me my babies." Hearing the queens plea for her babies, Minako and Rei brought the twins over to the queen. "Here they are Auntie." Said Minako, the queen took her babies and held them close. 

Hoping, wishing, praying to the gods. 

That Nehalenia's curses don't come true.

Years passed and the sisters grew up with contrasting personalities while still being close. By age 5 the girls where taking lessons with Ami, Sailor Mercury and her mom Queen Athena. By 9 the girls where wearing heels, and by 14 they started training. 

Queen Serenity started training Selenity on how to use her powers from the time the princess was 7 years old. While Princess Serenity spent her pass times staring at the Earth, that is until she got the courage to actually go down to the blue and green planet. 

While down there the young princess met the now 17 year old Prince Endymion, they fell head over heels for one another. When Queen Serenity and King Apollo found out, they were happy for Serenity. Her older twin was also happy for her, and it looked that Endymion and Serenity where meant to be in love with each other. 

But soon enough, their happiness was ruined. 

A redheaded woman sold her soul to a creature called Queen Matalia and they attacked the moon, that is after they destroyed the Earth. Endymion was trying to reason with his people but it was no use, Beryl then accused Serenity of being the reason why Endymion "Betrayed" his people. 

It looked like Beryl was going to kill Serenity, so Endymion got in the way and took the hit for her. 

Devastated, the golden blonde princess used her beloved's sword and killed herself. 

This caused her mother and father to cry out in agony, not knowing that their oldest was also dead. She was killed by a brainwashed Kunzite, heartbroken by the deaths of their daughters. Queen Serenity used the silver Crystal to send everyone including herself and Apollo to the future. 

One of Nehalenia's curses did come true, Queen Serenity just wished that the other one didn't.
