"Seong... Hwa?" The masked pirate lowered his hand, taking off Seonghwa's hood.
Hongjoong untied Seonghwa, then turned to the black-haired male on the other side. "Woo, tie her up again."
Seonghwa hugged the Captain tightly, trying not to burst into tears. Hongjoong held him just as tightly.
They stayed that way for a few minutes before the rest of the crew joined them after tying the princess.
"I missed you all so much!" Seonghwa smiled through tears, finally feeling happy after ten years of despair.
"We'll talk on my ship, yeah?" Hongjoong smiled back before picking up the things scattered around on Y/N's ship.
A taller male picked Y/N up on his shoulder, and the other three picked up the rest of Y/N's belongings with Hongjoong.
Seonghwa noticed the look of betrayal in Y/N's eyes. She looked so hopeless. He couldn't help her. He was finally with his long-lost family.
The group transferred all the important things to the Halazia Ship, and one of the pirates connected the Kingdom ship with theirs by a rope as Hongjoong ordered.
"Let me go!" Y/N yelled as she was moved to the bigger ship.
"Mingi, lock her up," Hongjoong said to the tall man that held her.
Mingi walked below deck with Y/N in his arms and locked her in a dungeon-like room.
"I'm sorry, princess, it's not on me," Mingi smirked as she glared at him.
He handed her a plate with bread and some grapes. "I hope this isn't too poor of a meal for such royalty."
"I won't eat it. You could've poisoned it," Y/N brushed him off.
"Suit yourself, although I think Hongjoong wouldn't want you dead," Mingi hummed, walking back up to meet the rest.
At the Kingdom
San woke up early that morning. After noticing Y/N didn't show up at breakfast, he asked the servants if they had seen her.
"Have you seen Y/N?" San asked the first servant he found.
"No, Your Highness. I apologize." The servant bowed.
"Go ask your colleagues immediately." San started getting nervous.
The same servant came back half an hour later. "Sir, the princess is nowhere to be found. I've also noticed that one of the ships is missing."
"Call Yunho over and prepare the ships," San became furious and scared.
"Sir, you wanted to see me?" Yunho rushed over.
"When did you last speak with Y/N? Tell me right now," San demanded.
"Last night, why, Sir?"
"She's missing."
Yunho remembered what Y/N had told him last night and gulped.
"Did she say anything?" San continued inspecting Yunho.
"No, sir, she only wished me a good night," Yunho lied. He was her knight, after all.
"Come with me," San ordered, boarding a ship and taking Yunho with him.
'Y/N, what did you do?' Yunho thought to himself.
"We won't stop until we find her," San announced to everyone on the ship.
Back on the Halazia Ship
The pirates and Seonghwa all fell asleep together on the deck, chatting about their lives after being separated for so long.
Y/N didn't touch her food at all. All she could think about was how Seonghwa betrayed her.
"How could he do that? After I let him come with me? He wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for me!" She talked to herself.
She also fell asleep later that night. The next morning, when she woke up, she decided to continue laying there and cussing out Seonghwa since it didn't seem she'd be out of there any time soon.
All of a sudden, someone came down to her room. It was Seonghwa. He motioned for Y/N to be quiet.
"You betrayed me!" Y/N whisper-yelled.
"Shh... I'm gonna figure out how to make them let you out," Seonghwa said.
"I'm gonna kick you when they do," Y/N stared at Seonghwa angrily.
"Maybe I won't," Seonghwa brushed off her attitude.
"Fine! Just please be fast, I feel so uncomfortable here," Y/N whined.
"Eat the food that Mingi gave you. I promise it's not poisoned," Seonghwa got up and walked back to the deck.
Y/N sighed and grabbed the bread off her plate. She took a bite. "So stale."
As she laid there, she remembered she had a pocket knife hidden under her dress. She quickly got it out and cut the ropes that tied her.
"The lock..." She got closer to the door and lockpicked it until it finally opened.
She quietly walked out of the room and sneaked out onto the deck, hiding behind the barrels as she tried to listen in on their conversation.
"Why were you on the ship with the princess? Are you royalty now?" Hongjoong asked Seonghwa.
"No... no... The night I disappeared, I was taken by the Hala Kingdom's guards to replace my dad as a merchant," Seonghwa explained.
"Hala... Kingdom?" Hongjoong's eyes tensed as he realized. He sat down immediately.
"What's wrong?" Wooyoung walked over to Hongjoong.
"That princess... She's my half-sister," Hongjoong buried his face in his hands.
Y/N gasped so loudly that they heard her. She quickly covered her mouth. Hongjoong nodded for Mingi to check.
Mingi walked up to the barrels and picked Y/N up with one hand. Y/N smiled awkwardly as she saw the men staring at her.
"How did you escape?" Hongjoong sighed.
"You didn't bother to check me. I have a knife under my dress," Y/N huffed as she wiggled out of Mingi's grip and approached the group.
"Like brother, like sister, huh?" The long black-haired male chuckled.
"Sang, it's not the time," Hongjoong said.
"How are we related?" Y/N crossed her arms.
"Long story. Thank your awful dimwit father for that," Hongjoong didn't feel like talking about it.
"When will you tell me the full story, huh?" Y/N pressured Hongjoong.
"Not today," Hongjoong got up and walked to the captain's quarters to get away from Y/N.
"You can't just do that!" Y/N yelled from downstairs.
"Princess, give him some space. This is a lot to take in," Hongjoong's right-hand man answered. Y/N sighed.
"Well, if I have to be stuck here, can I at least know your names?"
