"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

You snipped at the root of Zachariah's wings, blood splattering across your face as you wore a sick grin, furrowing your eyebrows slightly as you vision was compromised due to all of it gushing from the source and he was yelling right in your ear.

The audacity of this bitch.

A phone started ringing and for a moment, you didn't realize it was the one Tony gave you before you left.

"Excuse me for a moment." You held up your finger to him as he cried out, hanging from the ceiling, and his chest was rising and falling with his ragged breaths while the other two hung nearby, lifeless.

He whimpered in pain as the blood splashed on the floor below his feet, his toes barely brushing it. You plucked a few feathers off his wing as you fished out your phone and he bit his lip with a groan, trying to stifle the noise since that was your first warning.

"Hi, love!" You answered cheerily, perusing your next choice of tool with a hand covered in blood, some dried, some fresh.

"It's been days, where are you?"

"Oh, you know," You mused with a smile as you lifted a hammer, admiring it as you held up it, and heard another groan from the angel behind you, "Working."

"I miss you," She muttered quietly, so you thought maybe she wasn't alone, "Want you here with me."
"Everything alright?" Your voice fell with concern, holding the hammer down at your side now.

"Yeah, it's just before the attack, I hadn't seen you in almost three weeks because of...everything else that happened."

"I'll be home soon," You promised, "Just let me clean up here and I'll take a break before the rest."

"The rest?"

"Long story."

"Okay," She hummed, "And how're you doing with...everything? With Kris, I mean."
"Dealing," You told her truthfully, turning to lean back against the table to face the bleeding out angel whose wings were wilted, drench in their own blood, along with some of their friends', "Been keeping busy, but um...yeah, I think I'm accepting what happened. They wanted a different life and angels are..." You admired the hammer as you raised it to about your middle, turning it over, "A fickle bunch, but Kris was a different breed...they always thought outside the box, had a heart bigger than the rest, you know? First angel in existence to love humanity on their own, not because god told them to."

"And you were the second." You could hear the smirk in her voice, and you smiled, snapping to shut off the angel's ability to hear you as you continued, watching with amusement as he looked around frantically, wondering why he suddenly lost his hearing.

"I can feel you," You told her, chuckling to yourself at how lame that sounded before you added, "I mean, I think it's all the soul-bonding and essence crap that makes it so I can quite literally feel your heart beating inside of mine...it's weird, but kind of amazing too."

"I feel protected – more than before, so yeah, I think I get it." She chuckled with you, both of you knowing this all sounded like some weird mystical cringey book, but it also felt kind of sweet too, so it wasn't so bad.

"I miss your boobs." You blurted, easing the tension as she snorted a laugh and you chuckled again, missing her smile more than anything right now.

"Yeah, well, get back and you three can have a party."

"Don't tease me, Natasha, I will take you up on that and there will be a pinata."

"Oh, I don't doubt that for a second."

You guys hung up soon after that and you snapped your fingers again, having his hearing return as you strolled up to stand in front of him. Technically, his vessel, especially being hung up high like this, was towering over you and you relished in the fact that he felt so much smaller right now.

"Please, please just let me go." He whined and you smirked darkly, shaking your head as the red enclosed your eyes slowly again, letting him watch as the devil took over.

You swung the hammer back and then even harder towards his knee, shattering the cap into little pieces as your strength never ceased to amaze you, but you made sure the bottom half of his leg didn't go flying off to hit the back wall.

His angelic screams and wailing were what shattered the glass windows in the building, calling out to other angels in the thousand mile perimeter, but you knew no one would come to help him. Because as soon as they knew it was Lucifer who was tearing his ass apart, and not in a fun way, they'd know better than to intervene.

"That's right," You sneered, your grin stained red, "Call out to your brothers and sisters – see if they even give a flying fuck that you're being torn to bits because I can tell you right now, they don't," You pouted mockingly, "Aww, does that hurt your feelings?" You cooed tauntingly as he cried, "Didn't you know this is what would come of you going after her? Like I wouldn't be able to keep her alive and drag you to the empty myself right after?" You yanked his hair, so his neck bent at an awkward angle, letting you whisper into his ear, "Because I'm always a thousand steps ahead of how you see this playing out – try all you want, but Lucifer always wins."
"We just wanted to get your attention," He sobbed and you shoved his head back harshly, "You didn't have demons to get messages through to you anymore, so we thought she would – it was Hannah's idea to kill her!"

You glanced over at Hannah's dismembered corpse, hanging between the other two, and then your eyes flicked back to him with a smirk.

"Well, you got my attention, but it was a dumb move because I've literally eaten demons just to see what it was like – I don't give a fuck about them or ninety-nine percent of angels, so what the fuck did you want my attention for?" You lazily gestured over to the other two with a smug smile, "Because it's sure costing you guys a whole lot."

"The revolution," He started coughing, blood spewing out of his mouth onto the ground, and you took a massive step back as you cringed in disgust, "It's coming."

"Right, sure, and I care because...?"

"It'll be a war of angels."

"Let them kill each other then," You shrugged with a light laugh, and he was already shaking his head when you added, "Makes my job easier."

"It'll happen on earth," Your stomach dropped at that, but you kept your expression the same, not letting him see how that affected you, and then you moved back to grab an angel blade and he mewled loudly, "No! Please! I can help you! I'll do anything!"

"Tell you what I'm going to do," You tapped the tip of the blade on his forehead and he whimpered, his mind and body flooding with fear, so you trailed the tip down the bridge of his nose, across and down his cheeks, "I'm going to stop the revolution before it starts," You listed as if you were going over your to do list, trailing the blade's tip across his bicep and then dipping it behind him as he shivered, "Soon after I'm done ripping your wings out and shoving them so far up your ass you'll convince yourself you murdered and ate Big Bird from Sesame Street right before you die," You jerked the blade so it stabbed right in the middle of the roots – the most sensitive part, and he cried out in agony, "Sound good?"

Less than an hour later, you finished up, and snapped your fingers, sending them to the empty where they'd relive their death over and over for eternity in nightmares before you got back to the tower, covered in blood.

You snapped again and you were back to normal, not a trace of blood or angel matter on you, but you still decided to take a shower, just to get smelling nicer and to make yourself feel really clean before you went to see Natasha.

"I'm stealing her shampoo," You shrugged to yourself, sneaking into her bathroom when you knew she was sleeping in your room since it was late and she always said she did that when she missed you, "I don't care, I'm gonna do it, and I'm not going to be sorry," You turned the water on, getting in and wetting your hair after you stripped out of your suit, and then you lifted the bottle, sighing to yourself, "Fine, I'll just get her more."
