Littletail spoke with a white tom in the center of camp for a while, and then the white tom leapt up to the top of the rock that Ravenwhisp sat beside. "All cats old enough to run the moor, gather beneath the Sunrock for a Clan Meeting!"

North watched the cats in the camp gather around the large stone and stare up at the white tom on the rock.

"That's Whistlestar." Coldpaw hummed. "Come on!"

The white tom-Whistlestar-lifted his chin. "Two cats, North and Cryo, have found us and wish to join our Clan."

"And wish to-what-" North glanced over at Coldpaw, who shrugged.

"North, Cryo. If you take this path, you will have to follow our rules. You will put the good of the Clan first, and we will take care of you in turn."

North flicked his ears. Cats caring for him? He hadn't had anything like that since Wish had fallen ill.

Wish. He had to ask some cat about healing her whenever the meeting was over.

"If you choose to follow this path, then I will allow you to join RabbitClan. But if you don't, speak now."

North and Cryo remained silent.

"From this day forward, Cryo shall be known as Cryokit. You will stay in the nursery, and Quickfox will care for you."

North scanned the group of cats, and Coldpaw nodded toward a ginger she with green eyes. Three kits huddled around her paws, staring eagerly at the rock.

"North," Whistlestar continued, "You shall be known as Northpaw. Your mentor will be Blazingrise."

Mentor? North-no, Northpaw blinked and glanced over at Coldpaw, hoping for direction. Coldpaw winced and nodded toward a ginger tabby tom who's eyes flashed with frustration.

"This meeting is dismissed." Whistlestar turned and began making his way down the rock.

"Congrats! You're a RabbitClan apprentice now!" Coldpaw purred.

"I need you to explain. What's going on?" Northpaw frowned at him.

"Well, in a Clan there are different roles you can be. Kits are cats younger than six moons, like Cryokit. Apprentices like us are over six moons and learning to be warriors. You become a warrior at twelve moons, but before then you have to listen to your mentor, who trains you. Some warriors get old and retire, and we take care of them when they're elders. The medicine cat heals sick or injured cats, and they have an apprentice, too! And of course, leader leads the Clan and the deputy becomes leader when the leader retires or dies."

Northpaw stared at him.

"You'll get it eventually!" Coldpaw nudged him. "Blazingrise is coming over here."

Northpaw glanced over and watched as the ginger tom-Blazingrise-stalked over. "Familiarize yourself with the camp." He growled as he stopped in front of the two. "I'm not taking you out into the territory until you know where all the dens are."

Northpaw watched him pad off.

"Blazingrise doesn't like apprentices." Coldpaw mewed apologetically. "Speaking of, I'll introduce you to the other apprentices! Come on!"

"One moment." Northpaw glanced over at Cryo, now Cryokit, who stared at him with wide eyes. "See that ginger she-cat? She'll take care of you, and you'll have other kits to play with."

Cryokit's ears pricked when playing was mentioned and he skittered off. Northpaw turned back to Coldpaw, who smiled. "Come on!"

The first cat Northpaw was introduced to was Mudpaw. He was a bit bigger than Coldpaw, and was a brown tabby with light stripes. His gaze was blank and a bit calculating as he scanned Northpaw. "Hello."
