Suprised might be understatement of how Jimin felt when he entered Jungkooks penthouse.

The place was big and luxurious, surrounded by the cityscape.

"Would you like to change into something comfortable?" Jungkook asked as he lead Jimin to the couch.

The omega thinks for a moment. Wearing Jungkooks clothes, having his scent on him sounded nice. He might even need it for the conversation they're going to have.

"Can I?"

Jungkook nods and leads him to his bedroom while giving a mini tour on the way. He went to what seems to be a walk-in wardrobe and took out a comfortable tee and trousers for him.

"The bathroom is there," He points to the door after handing the clothes to Jimin. Jimin hurried over to the direction and got changed inside. When he came out he found Jungkook also changed into more comfortable baggy clothes.

"I didn't expect you to be living in this kind of extravagant place," Jimin honestly blurts out, he let his eyes roam around the place. He'd admit that the dark furniture and walls with warm lighting set a really comfortable atmosphere in the place, despite how intimidating it felt.

"This... It was a gift from my father when I came back here..."

"came back?" Jimin takes a seat on the couch.

"There are also things I kept a secret... from you," Jungkook walks over to his connected kitchen and opens the fridge. He takes out a bottle and pours the drink into two glasses. "Do you remember the rumour about me that was going around when I first transferred?"

"That you were the son of some big shot?"

"Yes, I had denied it back then but It's... It's true. My father is the chairman of Golden enterprise and I am the sole heir," The alpha said as he walked back to the couch, placing the drinks on the table.

Jimins eyes widen. He recognised that company. Anyone would. Golden enterprise has been expanding into the global markets over the last decades very successfully. It was the one of the fastest growing bussines, which had started small in South Korea long time ago but know everyone knows the brand and logo.

Jungkook never once gave any sign that he was an heir to a bussines empire. The alpha was always goofy and messing around, complete opposite to what Jimin imagines an heir to be.

"Seoul was where I originally lived with my parents. In school, people knew about my heritage and were aware of my position. Anyone whoever approached were all in it for the my status. Even my teachers gave me special treatment that I didn't want. I didn't want to go to school with everyone being so... fake. It was suffocating. I was tired of it. It used happen in elementary school too. So I asked my parents to transfer me to a different city with my background hidden. So we chose busan since we had family there. The 'mom' you met was actually an aunt, my dad's twin sister who acted as my mother so I could have a normal student life in Busan and meet people who liked me for me without my background," Jungkook took a sip of his juice and gestured for Jimin to take drink of his who was listening intently.

"There I met you and we got along really well and became good friends. I don't really know how the rumours began but when it did, I felt the shift in some peoples attitude towards me and their intentions. But hyung, you... you never once treated me differently, you were always you, your kind, cheerful self. I was so happy to have met you, I treasured our friendship. You became really special to me hyung. That's why it hurt alot when you left without a proper goodbye at least," His throat constricted. Jungkook took few breaths to calm himself.

Jimin wasn't sure what to say or how to respond. He understood why Jungkook hid such a fact about himself so he wasn't angry about that. No one would be happy with being surrounded by people who acted fake. It's not like Jimin cared about his friends background. He didn't before and doesn't even now. Though, he didn't realise the impact of his disappearance would be such a big deal to him.
