Hh felt that today was a perfect day, It was the Christmas in July sale!!! TVs sold, everyone is happy, and they even got a good deal! Now that's price and advice guaranteed!
Hh, had just finished selling his last LG HD TV to an eager customer willing to buy. It was the end of the day so it was time for the store to close down for the day. Hh waved as the customer exited the building but then he quickly felt a change in the environment. It was empty, only one person stood in front of him, it was....the CEO! What was the CEO of hhgregg doing here at this location at THIS TIME??? Hh needed answers so he initiated the conversation. "Well, hello there CEO! What is it that made you stop by here? Was it our excellent customer service here at hhgregg?"Hh said with an upbeat enthusiastic tone as usual. The CEO looked at Hh and delivered the terrible news....hhgregg was shutting down for good. Hh was devastated, this store was his home his whole LIFE. "W-what? You mean the place is shutting down...why?" The CEO explained that they would close all stores due to bankruptcy. Hh fell to his knees in shock "No...this store, it's all I've got..." he was shaken, he could barley move himself to get up. "I understand how much this company means to you hh, but it's for the greater good." The CEO replied. "I think its best you retire for now." Hh was shocked once more by this statement "RETIRE? But I'm not ready to retire!!!" Hh said in a panicked tone. "Well you better find a new job, there isn't much we can do for ya here." Hh could feel the panic set in as he realized his terrible fate. "So....you're just going to throw me in the streets like I've never existed....after all I've done for this company...." Hh began to quietly sob. The CEO replied back "I'm sorry we dont require your service as our company mascot anymore, you may leave." Hh was in so much emotional pain. Where would he even go after this? Would he end up homeless? He sobbed and slowly walked out of the building.
He watched over time as each store began to shut down one by one...till they were all gone,.the store he was raised in, gone, he no longer had a sense of purpose, but he hoped to find a new job,somewhere....out there.
