Izuku POV. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧ again!

The following day unfolded with a sense of ease.

Jean, with her unwavering commitment to peace and justice, embarked on a mission to clear the misunderstanding between the people of Mondstadt and Dvalin.

With her diplomatic skills and heartfelt sincerity, she worked tirelessly to mend the rift caused by the dragon’s rampage, reassuring the citizens that Dvalin was no longer a threat.

Meanwhile, Paimon and I reunited with Amber, the energetic and adventurous outrider of the Knights of Favonius.

She greeted us with a warm smile, but I could sense a hint of exhaustion behind her cheerful demeanor.

As she recounted the events of the previous day—an unusually coordinated hilichurl attack, repelled only by the valiant efforts of the Knights—her expression grew somber.

“I-I’m sorry, Amber!”
I said, my voice tinged with regret.

“I should have been here to help you... If I hadn’t been caught up in
the battle with Dvalin—”

Amber waved off my apology with a small, understanding smile.
“Hey,It’s okay, Izuku!”
she reassured me.
“We managed to handle it, thanks to the efforts of everyone in Mondstadt. But I can’t help but wonder where Kaeya was during all of this.
His absence is… unusual.”

Her words struck a chord with me.
His sudden disappearance at such a critical time was troubling, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right...

As we discussed our next steps, a sense of urgency settled over us.

But amidst the uncertainty and danger, I found comfort in the bonds of friendship that had formed between us.

Together, we would face whatever trials came our way, united in our determination to protect Mondstadt and uncover the truth behind the Abyss Order’s schemes.

....

As Paimon and I entered the cozy warmth of Good Hunter, we spotted Kaeya seated at a table in the corner, his demeanor relaxed yet alert. He looked up as we approached, offering a casual smile.

“Ah, Izuku, Paimon.” Kaeya greeted us.
“Good to see you both. I trust you’ve been keeping well?”

Before we could respond, Kaeya launched into an explanation of his recent activities.

He claimed to have intercepted Abyss Order saboteurs who had slipped into Mondstadt during the chaos of the hilichurl attack.

His suspicions were grave—he believed the Abyss Order was planning to turn Dvalin into their tool of war.

I listened intently to Kaeya’s words, feeling a sense of unease settle over me.

The thought of Dvalin being used as a pawn in the Abyss Order’s sinister scheme sent a chill down my spine.

Just as Kaeya finished speaking, I noticed Amber approaching our table.

Her expression was a mix of curiosity and concern as she joined us, taking a seat beside me.

As we shared a meal together, I couldn’t shake the feeling of urgency that hung in the air.

I knew that I had to share my intentions with Amber—to journey across Teyvat and meet the other Archons, as Lumine had planned.

But I hesitated, unsure of how she would react.

Finally, gathering my courage, I turned to Amber and spoke from the heart.
“Amber, I… I have decided to travel across Teyvat and meet the other Archons...to find my siblings.”
I confessed, my voice earnest.

Amber’s eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly recovered, her expression softening with understanding.
“Izuku, that’s… that’s quite a journey you’re embarking on.”
she said, her voice tinged with admiration.
“But I have no doubt that you’ll succeed. You’ve already proven yourself to be a true hero!”

Her words warmed my heart, filling me with a renewed sense of determination.
“T-thank you!”
I replied, feeling a sense of gratitude for her unwavering support.
“And thank you for everything. You’ve been an invaluable friend!”

Amber smiled, her gaze steady.
“You’ll always be welcome in Mondstadt, Izuku. And if you ever need help along the way, don’t hesitate to ask!”

With a sense of resolve, I nodded, knowing that I had to fulfill my destiny, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.

We finished our meal, Amber asked me to meet Jean at the Favonius Cathedral—an invitation I accepted without hesitation.

As Paimon and I arrived at the Favonius Cathedral, we were greeted by the majestic sight of its grand architecture, its towering spires reaching towards the sky.

Inside, the atmosphere was solemn yet welcoming, the air filled with the soft murmur of prayers.

Jean, the Acting Grand Master, welcomed us with a warm smile, her presence commanding yet comforting.

She introduced us to Barbara, the young deaconess of the Cathedral, who thanked me for my help in resolving the Stormterror crisis.

“It’s an honor to meet you.”

Barbara said, her voice gentle yet sincere.
“The people of Mondstadt owe you a debt of gratitude for your bravery.”

Jean expressed her relief that the peaceful resolution to the crisis had turned diplomatic pressure back on the Fatui, the enigmatic organization that had been causing trouble in Teyvat.

Just then, Barbara’s eyes fell upon the broken state of the holy lyre, and she gasped in shock. “The holy lyre!

she exclaimed, her voice filled with dismay.
“How could this have happened!?”

Oh no...

She began to pray for forgiveness, her words a heartfelt plea to Barbatos, the Anemo Archon. Little did she know that the god she prayed to was literally beside her.

Venti, disguised as the bard Barbatos, stepped forward with a mischievous smile.

With a flourish of his hand, he began to sing, his voice filling the cathedral with its ethereal melody.

As he sang, the broken pieces of the lyre seemed to mend themselves, as if by magic.

I watched in astonishment as Venti seemingly repaired the lyre with his song.

But before Barbara could notice the illusion, Venti winked at me and whispered, “Hightail it out of here before she notices!~”

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but I didn’t have time to question him further.

With a playful pout, I turned and ran out of the cathedral, eager to catch up with Venti.

Hardly had we left the Cathedral, the air still charged with the echoes of Venti’s song, when chaos erupted around us.

Without warning, we were ambushed by the Fatui, their presence a menacing shadow looming over us...

Led by a woman in red, their intentions were clear—to capture Venti and steal his gnosis.

I could feel a surge of panic rising within me as I realized the danger we were in.

Venti, ever the carefree bard, stood his ground with a defiant smirk, but I could see the tension in his eyes. Paimon clung to my shoulder, her tiny form trembling with fear.

I need to help Venti...

Just like all heroes do.

But why…? Why do I feel so weak?!

Before I could act, the woman in red lunged forward with astonishing speed, her movements like a viper striking its prey.

She insulted Venti, mocking him as a weakling unworthy of his title as the Anemo Archon.

"DON'T YOU DARE-"
Anger flared within me at her audacity, but before I could react, I felt a sharp blow to my head.
Pain exploded behind my eyes, and everything went black....
