Jay stood next to Dario's SUV, checking his phone, which was down to a mere 5%.
Jay: Thanks for letting me carpool with you, dude. I woulda been cooked if not for you.
Dario turned around, a giant smirk spreading across his face.Dario: You know you owe me for this, right?
Jay sighed, scratching his head as he looked defeated.
Jay: Yeahhhh...
As they continued their journey, the car suddenly sputtered and rolled to a stop right in front of a creepy, old hotel. The neon sign flickered ominously, casting eerie shadows.
Jay: Of course, just our luck.
Dario: Well, let's check it out. Maybe someone inside can help.
They got out of the car and approached the entrance. The heavy wooden door creaked open as they stepped inside. To their surprise, the interior was well-maintained, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff, dressed in old-fashioned uniforms, greeted them with unnervingly wide smiles.
Receptionist: Welcome! How can we assist you gentlemen tonight?
Jay and Dario exchanged uneasy glances, feeling a strange chill despite the friendly reception.
