◸Chapter 14: The Thought◿

Hana: Get up!

Jisung: Break, break.

He huffed out and she rolled her eyes before plopping down next to him, equally tired.

Jisung: Am I getting better?

Hana: Mhm. Your rank is increasing too, I don't know why you're doubting it.

She said while leaning back on her palms. Hana turned her head to look down at Jisung who took deep breath with eyes closed, face and neck glistening with sweat.

Jisung: I still don't get why you're helping me.

Hana looked away, pursing her lips. She stared ahead, the teasing chuckles and whispers echoing in her mind. The guilty look of Haechan's face burned in her head.

Hana: Do you ever... feel like this is all not worth it?

She asked, her voice as low as a whisper. Though she wasn't immediately met with an answer instead he sat up, looking at her with furrowed eyebrows. She cleared her throat and looked away.

Hana: Never mind-

Jisung: All the time... I feel that... all the time.

She glanced at him.

Hana: Yeah?

Jisung: Yeah...

Hana pulled her knees closer to her. 

Jisung: Do you think they will kill us if they find out?

Hana: Maybe... maybe not? 

Jisung: Do you think they'll like reset us or something.

Hana laughed and turned to him with raised eyebrows.

Hana: We're not robots Jisung. 

Jisung: What if we were and we just didn't know...?

She rolled her eyes and let out another chuckle.

Hana: Would we be bruising and bleeding then?

Jisung: Huh... I never thought that far.

Hana: Tsk, get up. We gotta continue.

Jisung: I'm tired.

Hana: Stop whining like a baby. I'm doing this for you.

He sighed and stood up along with her. The two got into a fighting stance and continued with the training for the rest of the night.
