Devika slipped away from the stifling halls of the palace, seeking solace amidst the verdant gardens. The heady perfume of jasmine enveloped her as she wandered past beds of hibiscus and vines heavy with bougainvillea. Fountains burbled gently, their sound mingling with the melodies of songbirds flitting through the trees.

Devika's eyes feasted upon the lush greens and vibrant colors of the palace gardens; the graceful curves of the hibiscus flowers, the cascading blooms of the bougainvillea, and the delicate petals of the jasmine. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a warm glow on everything around her.

Devika walks through the vibrant gardens, the colors of the flowers and greenery popping against the dull stone of the palace walls. She pauses to admire a bed of hibiscus, their deep red petals contrasting against the bright oranges and pinks of the nearby bougainvillea vines. The sunlight filters through the trees, dappling the path in a warm, golden glow.

The colorful gardens of the palace burst with vibrant hues, a display of nature at its finest. Devika's eyes wander over the blooms, taking in the delicate white petals of jasmine, the bright red of hibiscus, and the cascading pink and purple flowers of the bougainvillea. Shaded by the towering trees, the fountains glitter in the sunlight, their water dancing in the air.

Devika couldn't resist plucking a ripe hibiscus flower and savoring its sweet nectar as she strolled through the gardens. She could also taste the lingering hint of citrusy sweetness.

Soft grass tickled her bare feet as she walked, the cool breeze brushing against her skin. The petals of the flowers were velvety under her fingertips and the water from a nearby fountain refreshed her as it splashed against her skin.

As Devika walks, she brushes her fingers against the soft petals of flowers and the velvety smoothness of leaves. The grass is cool and damp beneath her bare feet, and she relishes in the sensation of freedom and connection to nature.

The grass beneath Devika's feet is soft and cool, the blades inviting her to walk barefoot and feel the earth beneath her toes. She reaches out to brush her fingertips over the velvety petals of a hibiscus flower, marveling at its delicate texture.

In this oasis, she could almost forget her troubles. No scheming Rani Maa or persistent suitors, just the peace of nature surrounding her. She sighed, trailing her fingers along the edge of a lotus pool. If only she could remain here forever, untouched by the tangled web of family politics and obligations.

But she was the eldest daughter. Her marriage would secure her family's position and save them from slipping into obscurity. It was her duty, no matter how much her spirit rebelled against the idea of being joined to a man she did not love.

Lost in thought, she did not hear the approaching footsteps until a voice called out.

"Daydreaming again, are we?"

She whirled around. "Brother!"

Rajkumar Aadhir strode up beside her, lips quirked in a teasing smile. As always, his presence exuded strength and assurance.

"This garden does have a way of making one lose track of time," he said. "But we have important matters to discuss."

His expression turned serious. "I know your heart is troubled. But I promise you, I will not force a match that does not meet our standards."

Devika looked down. "I want to do my duty, but..."

"You wish for more." Aadhir tilted her chin up gently. "Do not lose hope. I know this is a difficult path, but we will walk it together. No matter what the future holds, I will always protect you."

With Aadhir's steady presence beside her, Devika squared her shoulders and walked back towards the palace, a small but defiant smile playing on her lips.
