in the end, jungkook didn't even make his speech, he let jeongmin do it for him instead. although eunwoo insisted that jungkook should be the one to talk, but the other being stubborn and rejected the idea.
everyone paid their full attention to the emcee. however, jungkook didn't even once looked at the stage. he didn't even know jeongmin had already finished his speech. because all he did was searching tzuyu through his eyes.
he didn't mean to make it too obvious but taehyung had caught him more than five times already. " imagine her dad caught you looking for tzuyu. " the older snickered. jungkook simply replied him back with, " i don't give a fuck. " and also asked taehyung a favor to call him if he ever saw tzuyu.
jeongmin on the side unintentionally overheard their conversation so he also wanted to help in finding tzuyu. after like twenty minutes, he saw her at the very corner of the room. no wonder jungkook didn't see her, she was almost like in a hiding position.
quickly, he politely tapped on jungkook's shoulder catching the ceo off guard. he quickly apologized after and signaled the direction where tzuyu stood. jungkook finally found her after a minute. finally.
but even from afar, he could sense how nervous and uncomfortable tzuyu was. wondered why.. just then he remembered that eunwoo will announce their wedding date after his appreciation speech. jungkook got the idea that tzuyu didn't probably wanna hear the announcement.
just as much as tzuyu, jungkook definitely did not want to hear that too. he would hate to see everyone clapping and congratulate the couple in few more minutes.
as he was staring, he saw tzuyu talking something to chaeyoung and suddenly walking away from the area, leaving the crowd. he looked to everyone else too and no one saw her went away.
" i'm going. " jungkook whispered to taehyung eyes never leaving the direction tzuyu went to. taehyung automatically knew what the younger meant and nodded. not forgetting to give him some encouraging pat on the shoulder as well, " if anything just call. "
tzuyu felt like crying. she was extremely nervous, her anxiety almost ate her whole body and her legs getting jellied minutes by minutes. she's afraid she would cry among the crowd and that people would weirded out. which now the reason why she's at the ladies. but obviously she chose the furthest one for her own safety so people wouldn't look for her or heard her crying.
the hallway earlier was so empty that even her walk being echoed loudly. thankful for her that no one was there as she expected it to be.
tzuyu cried for more than half an hour in the toilet. once the sobs had slowed down, she decided to stay there for a little while. washing her face after, not even caring about the makeup anymore. her makeup was then completely gone and she felt like going home.
