Y/n:What? By whose orders?
Mrs.Hwang:The bishop declared it this morning, but he wouldn't tell us why! Where is your father? Does he know anything?I hesitate floundering for words.
Y/n:Um... he's...um...asleep. I don't think he knows anything.
Mrs.Hwang's eyes well up with tears.
Mrs.Hwang: Oh, it's terrible! What is going to happen to us?
I should say something to comfort her.
Y/n:It will be alright,Mrs.Hwang. The best thing we can do is try to remain calm and help others.
I offer her one of my handkerchiefs.
Mrs.Hwang:Oh,thank you. You are too kind.
She dabs at her eyes, sniffling.
Mrs.Hwang: You're right,Y/n. I shouldn't worry myself into a frenzy.
She smiles and steps back.
Mrs.Hwang:Well, I shouldn't keep you. Please come see me if you or your father need anything.
Y/n:I-we will, thank you.I shut the door and lean against it heart pounding furiously. I can't believe they've locked down the town. She said the bishop ordered it but did Jin have a hand in this too?
Uh, overthinking like this won't do me any good. I have to go meet the others. Namjoon is bound to have an explanation.
After getting ready, I head towards the town's cathedral. All the people I pass look fearful and confused. Clearly this is causing a panic. Loud peals of laughter draws me towards the church steps.
A group of children surrounds Jimin. He is down on one knee to meet their level, hands dancing with finger puppets. Putting on a show on time like this? He's relentless.
Jimin catches my eyes and winks, pulling the puppets off his fingers.
Y/n:Alright ,run along now, children. Your friend Jimin has an important business to attend to. Remember what I told you earlier. Be vigilant.
The children scamper off in all directions. As he watches them leave, his lips tighten into a grimace. He really cares for them. He pretended he doesn't,but he does. Jimin notice me watching and smirks.
Y/n:Ah,Miss.Y/n, light of my life, home of my heart! It's been far too long since I've gazed upon your beauty!
I clench my fists, feeling heat spread across my face. Must he act like this in public? He is so frivolous sometimes. No wonder, people think he is crazy. I can't let his eccentric behaviour get to me. I clear my throat.
Y/n: Good morning, Jimin. I take it you've heard about the situation?
Jimin snorts and waves a dismissive hands in the air.
Jimin:Who hasn't heard by this point? I- ah our good doctor is here. Perhaps we will finally get some answers.
I follow Jimin's gaze to Jin, striding towards us with a scowl. He looks more annoyed than usual.
Y/n: Good morning, Jin.
Jin:Some morning it is. People have been banging on my clinic door all day demanding answers. The Bishop's order are creating more problems.
Y/n:You mean you weren't consulted beforehand?
Jin:Not at all. I found out about this the same way as everyone else. We had been planning a careful evacuation of the town for days. The people here are in extreme danger of attacks from the infected. We've had numerous fatalities. You saw what they can do. But it sounds like the bishop decided to take matters into his own hands.
