   ~*October 23,  Tuesday.*~

I woke up early enough to go to the post office before I clocked in, I had no other reason to go there besides seeing Lynnette, my forever favorite person.

I met her when I first moved here, broken, tired and broke and she was the Only person who helped me. we had no blood relation at all but I saw her more as
A mother figure than I ever did my own mom.

Lynnette was honestly beautiful for her age, medium length grey ish brown curls, olive skin, semi fit body, I loved her, her style, every single one of her millions of cardigans. She was really like my mother. "Vans, I still don't like you working there so far from me." Lyn, once again started as I told her about my in-counter with the rude customer yesterday night."it's great money, plus I'm living there free with the only cost being working a few extra hours, what's not to like?"i sighed, plopping down on a sofa next her in closed desk, despite her literally being at work right now, since she owned it and it wasn't a busy day she sat next to me.

"I mean you're 40 minutes from me, and you know I hate driving. Plus theses customers, I can't beat them up for talking to you like this." She said dramatically, her sense of humor never failed to make me smile.

"And you haven't even invited me over yet, you must want some problems."her statement one again making me crack up and reassure her I didn't want any problems. "I told you it's not fully furnished yet, I still have boxes everywhere, and I can't get the furniture i ordered till next week."i said in a tone that might have overwhelmed her if I wasn't careful.

When I said she was like a mother, I meant it. Whenever I mention something is bothering me, she makes it a past tense, which I love about her about her but this time, since I'm currently making more money than her and she has things she needs to do in her shop, it's best I don't tell her too much about my  living situation.

My eyes scanned her post office, not much new, I did see she got the eye on the car clock fixed, unfortunately now I couldn't call it the one eyed cat.

I noticed the new rug, at this point I just tried to avoid the conversation I felt coming."that's a new rug." I looked her at her, smiling. "Don't you remember it? It was in the house at first, when moved it for a little it was in the living room."yeah..when I moved in." I said quietly, bad memories flooding in. And the look on her face told me she knew.

"awh van." She put her hand my shoulder like she was about to give me a mom talk, "You know how proud I am of you right? You've come such a long way my love."I knew she was referring to how I was when I first met her versus now.

which I really didn't want to get into right now since I had honestly started to forget about it until now, the last thing I needed right now was these deep talks that somehow healed and hurt at the same time.

"Thanks...actually I need to get going."I said to stop her from continuing. The frown on her face when she felt I was shutting her out again hurt but I really did need to get going.

I grabbed my stuff, the coffee she made me, my tote bag and my phone. "Love you Lyn." , walking through the door and I could hear her saying it back as I went to my car.

My hand pushed open the cold, heavy metal door, taking a moment to breathe before another long shift.  The first person I saw was sienna.

Her fine ass.

She saw me and motioned for me to come to her, I walked over to her, standing behind her shoulder looking over at the file she pointed to.
