Pietro's P.O.V.

I woke up with a small frown on my face as I remember the events of yesterday.

/flashback/

"Pietro," she starts.

I nod, encouraging her to go on.

"I like you, I really do. Just not in the way you'd probably hope." She says, shaking her head.

And in that moment I felt like punching someone, or crying. Or both. She notices my eyes slowly starting to yet up and says,

"Look Pietro, you're a really good friend and I don't want to lose what we have now. Plus, I just got out of a really bad relationship and I don't think I can start another one now." She smiles sadly and I nod in understanding.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." I say leaving her in the training room.

"Pietro, wait!" She yells, but I was already gone.

/flashback ends/

I get out of bed, got dressed and headed out to the dining room for breakfast. Steve already sat in his chair, sipping a coffee, and reading the news.

"Hey, Pietro." He smiles. And I just groan in response.

"Hangover's a bitch. Huh?" I hear a person say and I look up to see a cup of coffee suspended in mid air. And there she was, Sky.

"I'm not hungover." I reply bitterly, looking up at her.

"Uhh. I'll just go leave you two alone for a while." Steve says, hastily exiting the room.

"I'm not hungover." I reply bitterly.

"I'm sorry." She says quietly, taking the seat from across me.

"It's fine. It is not like I can do anything about it. Can I?" I say shrugging my shoulders.

She thinks for a second and then her face lights up. She sighs and says,

"But I can." She says determined.

"Whaaaaa-?" I ask, confused.

"I'm going to ask you to do something you're not used to doing." She says.

"What is it?"

"I'm going to have to ask you to take it slow."

"Huh?"

"We'll start as friends, like how we are now. But we'll hang out a lot and I'll eventually fall for you. That's what you want right?" She asks.

"I guess."

"I'll learn to fall for you, if you're willing to wait for me."

I don't even hesitate to think about it.

"Okay."

"Well Mr. Maximoff, you've got yourself a deal." She smirks.
