Everyone adores the tyrant of the sea, Poseidon, the mere sound of his name made y/n sisters and brothers freak. They worshiped him and everything that he did, every breath and every word. Honestly y/n didn't understand but after all she was just a little angel fish wasn't she? She wasn't fully grown like her family so that always just thought she doesn't understand anything yet.
A bubble escaped her mouth and she stared at her family swimming around 'huh?' Confused she turned upside down only for the huge shadow to continue to grow closer, she quickly flipped back over and nudged her older brother. Two bubbles escaped his mouth as the shadow drew closer.
Panic arose but ended as soon and a bang of a trident was heard the ship was turned and humans fell out the ship. Y/n whipped around before swimming to hide under a Little Rock, a flash of red caught her vision as a sudden jolt of pain shot up her fin.
Scared the buried herself under the rock more, the trail of blood floated through the water as her brothers and sisters smelled it. The god stopped watching the fish eat the human and focused on where the trial of blood flew out "come out little fish"
She hesitated as their eyes met through the water, her eyes wondered to the trident in his right hand "I won't repeat my self" not wanting to disobey him she swam forward fast,his voice was more gentle than she thought.
"Show me your fin" she gently swam in his palm and settled down as he examined her fin. He hummed in dissatisfaction and he placed his other hand over the other, successfully closing her in this palms.
A weird feeling erupted in her body as it felt like she was vibrating, he opened his palm and she saw they were in a different place, it was a very luxurious room that was decorated with Gold all around and a blue ceiling.
He swam over with y/n still settled in his palm, he opened a drawer and took out a tiny container. Dipping his finger in it he got a tiny dollop and placed it on her fin. She flinched as it made contact, he gently rubbed her head with his finger before teleporting back to a cove
"You'll be fine here"
Just as he came he disappeared in a flash, she let a little bubble escape her mouth as she stared at the wall.
Over the next few months Poseidon would come and visit her in her little cove, she wanted to repay him so she always went to the ship wreck to find the most shiny things to give him but every time he always turned his head away and sat silently with her in his hand and sometimes swimming around the reef.
To say that they became close was an understatement, everyday they spent together with Poseidon talked about his troubles, she wanted to tell him that everything was ok and that she'd always be there for him but alas the only thing she could do was give him a little peck on the cheek each time.
