The sun was setting as Cas sat at the lake side waiting for Aria to return with Serena. Thoughts ran wild in his head when he remembered what Aria had said, "I wouldn't be so sure." What did she mean by that? What was she planning? Worry bubbled in him as he thought about what would happen if Aria did try something. She was their biggest asset and was Al's adopted daughter, but that would only shield her from somethings. Mutiny and attempts of escape are the worst crimes you could commit here, and anyone who does is killed instantly.
Cas was pulled violently out of his thoughts when a loud thump was heard behind him. Jumping round he saw a smiling Aria and an angry and worried looking Serena. Quickly he stood up and marched to Aria her smile quickly dropping from her face.
"What where you doing?! And why does she look mad?!" He said leaning down to look in Arias eyes and pointing at Serena angrily. He knew it was dangerous for anyone else to get in Arias face, that's if they didn't want a broken body, but Cas and Marcus where the only exceptions because they where her family, she loved them too much.
Aria's smile dropped as she turned to Serena fixing a buckle on the saddle. She looked confident and brave but something in her eyes told Cas differently, whatever she had done she was scared of the consequences.
"Look Cas, I need you to trust me. I have a plan to get us out but I need you to be in the dark on it. If I tell you then that means you will have to lie, and they will know." That's all she said, and that's all Cas could know and he knew that. He admired Aria, she would put herself in the line of fire to save those who she loves. Cas was sure Aria would make it through this, but that didn't stop the slight twitch of worry in him. Aria had saved his life and had stuck with him through thick and thin, it was only right for him to do the same.
"Alright." He said moving to Serena and rubbing her head lightly. Aria looked up at him in shock before smiling widely."
"Cas I will get us out of this place I promise." She said hugging him tightly, shocked at the sudden gesture Cas returned the hug stroking her head lightly.
Aria caught fish with her new bow as Serena caught some for herself. Loosing the arrow she caught four fish in one, watching Cas sit there in shock she smirked. Shouting and yelling was heard a little bit away, causing Serena to growl and snarl. Aria ran to Cas and gripped his shoulders in panic.
"Listen Cas they're gonna take me and lock me in a room somewhere, don't try and find me, just trust me!" She said in a panic as men came round, grabbing her arms and yanking her violently. Serena snapped at the men growling but quickly subsided when Aria put her hands out. She whimpered as she watched her owner being dragged away, nudging at a teary Cas for some support. "It's ok Serena, stay with Cas, protect him!" Aria shouted as she disappeared into the long grass.
