After 2 month.
Drishti POV:
I woke up to the familiar sound of kettle whistling in the kitchen in which my mother must be cooking something delicious because the aroma of spices & condiments filled the air around me giving a comforting reminder of home. I got up from my bed and made my way to the bathroom and took a shower. I picked out a black
Top and a beige pants and made my way towards dinning table to have breakfast. I sat besides dad who was busy reading newspaper. My brother who sat beside mother was busy in gulping down food while watching sports on TV. My mother who sat right in front of me smiled looking at me with love in her eyes. I took a plate and ate my breakfast while chatting and laughing with them it was our daily routine.
After helping with breakfast I was spending my time on balcony before going to work . The warm morning sun was shining against my skin I got lost in my thoughts
Thinking about my power.
Since childhood i knew I was different I used to think that my dreams were coming true when in reality I was having visions of my future.
Sometimes when I experience a happy moment I get a vision from my future. I don't know if the power I have and my name are just coincidence or my grandmother who gave me this name knew something about this which no one else in my family knows but before I could understand my power and confront her about it she perished. I once tried to tell my family about this unique ability of mine when I quickly guessed what my birthday gift was due to my vision and everyone was left awestruck but nobody believed me when I tried to tell the real reason behind it, i never tried to tell this to my family ever again.
I made my way out of the house and started my car to go to the office.
I work as an interior designer at a small firm. I started working here after completing my degree to gain work experience I like this place cause the boss & colleagues are friendly it's easy to work and everyone appreciates your opinion and creativity. My day is a whirlwind of client meetings, home or office visits, and coordination calls.
My abilities have always helped me in understanding the clients needs and selecting the right design for them which exceeds their expectations.
It was lunch time when I was having lunch with my teammate and college friend Nithya. "Are you worried about Naksh again?" She asked with a worried expression. The fact that naksh hasn't proposed to me yet even when I saw the vision is bugging me lately. I simply said "yes" to Nithya's question. "But you had the vision right? Doesn't it mean it will come true eventually?"she asked."Drishti, your gift has never been wrong before. Maybe it’s just not the right time yet. Naksh loves you, and he’s probably planning the perfect moment to pop the question."she stated and continued to lift my spirit "I want to believe it too but the wait is driving me crazy" i murmured." But maybe this is a sign for you to focus on the present instead of worrying about the future. Enjoy your time with Naksh now, without the pressure of what’s to come"she said. "You are right i shouldn't let my vision disturb my present and I think I have been neglecting Naksh ever since I saw the vision of him proposing to me"just when I said that my phone started ringing when I picked it up a wide smile spread across my face when I saw Naksh's name displayed on in. I quickly picked it up."hey if you have free time can we both meet up at the park near your office? I wanted to tell you something, it's serious." he said anxiously. I quickly said yes already Knowing what was making him anxious. Just when I ended the call Nithya gave me a quick hug already congratulating me.
When I got off the work i put on some makeup to look pretty for the special occasion.
U came to the park just at time but was confused to see him standing alone with a worried expression, no flowers or fairy lights that was in the vision . As i got closer to him my own heartbeat started to increase I called his name our eyes met but I saw something unfamiliar in them his eyes looked cold, distance and restless. When I opened my mouth to ask him whether he was ok or not ,"let's break up"he said his voice was a low murmure.
