That night all Dimitri wanted to do was sleep and forget about the horrible events of the day, but the second he drifted into sleep, he once again found his mind in an unknown place. It was like he was there, but no one could see him, he was a ghost. The first thing he noticed in his vision was a murky, tiny room, and in the middle of the room was a silver pole with two shaking figures strapped to it.
Betty and gem!
"I'm not sure how were gonna get out of this one bets" sighed gem.
"we can't give up yet, just hope, there's gotta be some way to get out of here" wondered Betty.
"I don't mean to be pessimistic, but I'm the one who's meant to be protecting you" muttered gem
"Well, how's that working out for ya?" Joked Betty.
The pair shared a smile, knowing that was probably the last joke they would have together...
After speculating their fate, the two were joined by Em, looking very pleased with herself.
"Hello friends" smirked Em.
"Friends is a strong word" snarled gem.
"not for long, soon were gonna be good friends, whether you like it or not" commented Em.
"Any last words?" Asked Em, delighting in their fear.
"Just a question, how come my powers don't work in here, I should be zapping outta here in a sec" Pondered Betty, trying to buy them some time.
"Ah, well, you will learn all the secrets, you'll see" hinted Em.
"oh, and one more thing, go to hell" cursed gem.
"Ok, fair enough, if that's all, we're ready!" Shouted Em
Through the door came Alec, looking just as excited as Em, followed by Annabel, looking uncomfortable
As he came closer, he grabbed ems hand.
"Are you two, like together?" Asked gem, obviously not getting is priorities straight.
"Gem! Were about to be tortured, have our personality altered, and become the very things we hate, and all you can think about is Em and Alec's romantic situation?!" Exploded Betty.
"Well, if you must know, yes, but we're not all weird about it" shrugged Em.
"What am I supposed to do, congratulate my kidnappers" mocked Betty.
"I would watch your mouth, you won't be able to teleport when I slap you" commented Annabel
"enough talk, you know what to do" instructed Em, and Alec nodded.
Betty and gem knew what was about to happen, and they pulled with all their strength, struggled and fought against the ropes, but with no avail.
" you see, Alec's powers are very useful, he can clear your mind, guide it to a better path, or he can mentally attack you until you can't bear the pain any more and surrender your mind, both ways are quite effective" laughed Em.
"Give them hell man" exclaimed Annabel
"take me first, leave her, I'm her protector" begged gem.
"Well, as you asked so nicely, Alec go for Betty first" instructed Em.
"damm, why didn't I see that coming" moaned gem.
Alec focused his mind, and Betty looked absolutely terrified.
Suddenly Betty's whole body tensed, and then she passed out.
"No, leave her alone, what have you done!" Shouted gem.
"relax, it's just easier when there asleep, less screaming" exclaimed Em.
Gem looked horrified at the thought of Betty being in so much pain, he felt sick.
"you might as well tell me what happens next, as I'm next" muttered gem, losing hope.
" you having nothing to worry about, I know you see me as the enemy, but I promise you, it's a better life, I'm not evil, I'm just in the right" explained Em while Alec continued his work.
"Yawn, sorry I nodded off when you began speaking" mocked gem rudely.
Annabel kicked gem hard in the leg, he winced.
Betty started to jolt and shake.
"seriously dude, stop it, and that's your final warning" threatened gem.
"yeah whatever, gem, ok Em, this one was easy, such a weak mind, easy to manipulate and control" stated Alec, trying to wind gem up.
"Yeah, she looks pathetic, try and toughen her up a bit" smirked Annabel.
If I was there, Alec would be sitting on his ass, wishing he has never been born
"Don't you dare speak about Betty like that, she's better then you will ever be!" Shouted gem, getting pretty worked up.
"Not any more, when she wakes up, you'll get to see a different side of Betty, but for now Alec take her away, we wouldn't want to spoil the surprise!" Laughed Em.
Alec untied Betty, who was still out cold, and carried her out the door.
"What are you doing with her, tell me!" Demanded gem.
"your friend Betty is gone, when she wakes up, she'll be one of us" smirked Annabel, delighting in gems torment.
"Annabel, stop it, go with Alec" instructed Em as Annabel shrugged out the door.
"I don't care what you have done to her, I will get revenge" threatened gem, furious
"don't you see, we are helping you, guiding you to a better path, when Betty comes around she will be braver, stronger, and smarter" explained Em.
"oh, and cruel, selfish and violent, just like the lot of you, torturing and brainwashing everyone, until we're all like you" shouted gem.
"well yes, but it's better, were free, no rule, but don't worry, now Betty sees it our way, and soon you will to" smirked Em as she glided out the door to gem cursing at her.
Before Dimitri could witness any more horror, the images were gone, and he was awake.
