"Far left everyone. I want these troops stationed over in this part of the mountains, and these troops over near the MudWing border. Camp out there for a few days and spy on the SeaWings. When all is ready, Queen Ruby will give the signal to attack."

"Aye aye, Your Majesty," One of the SkyWing generals who was sitting closest to me nodded. "We shall leave tomorrow. For Queen Ruby!"

The rest of the SkyWing soldiers chorused, "For Ruby!" Then they stood up and left the room, leaving me in there alone with a table and a large map of Phyrria. I flicked my tail in annoyance.

Your Majesty. Why do they have to call me 'Your Majesty?'  I thought to myself, because Mother told them to. Because you are royalty!

But... I don't want to be royalty.

I stood up and shuffled out of the room into the hallway of the Sky Palace. I felt like I was dragging my talons. Why me? Why did I have to have such an important job? I had to command the soldiers while my mother was away, and I had to sit on a throne and look regal and important. I knew I was important, but what if I was too important?

I walked over to the entrance to the palace. Two SkyWing guards were sitting, starling off into the distance, watching for any intruders. They looked very serious and tough. One of them, a bright reddish-orange one, spotted me and turned around.

"Greetings, Your Majesty," The guard said to me and bowed his head. Ugh. There was that title again.

"Greetings," I replied to be polite. I had to be polite or Mother would be mad.

The guard nodded. "What brings you here, Your Majesty?" he asked me.

"I was with some of the generals in the barracks planning our invasion on the SeaWings a few moments ago. I thought I would just go for a small flight now to take a break."

"Would the Queen be okay with you leaving at such a time?" The guard questioned.

"I'm sure she'll be okay, Sir," I replied.

The guard nodded. "As you wish, Your Majesty."

The gates slowly began to open and I spread my massive wings. As I prepared to take off, I turned around to face the guard. I said, "Sir, you don't always have to call me Your Majesty. You can just call me Jasper."

The guard sighed. "I'm very sorry, but it is a title that your mother has ordered us to call you. I have to choice but to obey her orders, and neither does the rest of the royal guard, the army, and even the SkyWing citizens. Have a nice flight, Your Majesty."

"Very well," I sighed and spread my wings again, "Good day, Sir."

"Good day, Your Majesty," The guard dipped his head in respect. And with that, I took of into the sky.
