It had been months since Aurora's attacks on them, as well as since she'd taken the serum, turning herself into a weapon against all vampires. Klaus had killed her, but hadn't known that she'd taken it, so she was even worst than she'd been as a normal, old vampire. Now, they stood face to face with Aurora. And as she was a weapon, she was stronger than before, so she'd been able to easily toss Klaus against a pillar. She'd bitten Elijah, too. He'd tried intervening, despite knowing she was beyond being reasoned with. Aurora didn't want to play nice anymore, though. She wanted to kill at least most of them. Just Klaus and Elijah. Klaus for breaking her heart. Elijah for the compulsion, which had ruined their happiness. Everyone else was just in the way.

Kat all these months had been in search of how to destroy her. Make her a normal vampire again. With Sophie and Davina's magical help, as well as all of their knowledge put together, she'd been able to figure it out. And so, before Aurora could do anymore damage, she entered. As she did, she pinned her against a wall, as she did the spell. And then, when it was all finished, she was a normal vampiress again. And so, when it was done, Kat let her go magically.

"What did you do to me?" Aurora demanded, feeling different.

"You're a normal vampire again. Now, your end is here," Kat replied. Then Klaus gladly killed her again. This time, she was dead for good.

A little while later, they were all back home, but in the parlor, Elijah seated on the couch, Kat by him. They all knew how long a bitten vampire lasted from anyone that had taken that serum. Elijah didn't have all day, and though Kat didn't act like it, she was peeved as hell that Aurora had bitten Elijah.

"How do you propose we save you all?" she inquired. She'd been looking, but hadn't found anything. And she didn't want to lose Elijah. And Rebekah that was dealing with being hexed kept being in and out of her mind, so she wasn't the most helpful. And it appeared that nobody knew how to help any of them. Not even themselves. And after all of the battles, even Freya was in life threatening danger. Klaus was the only living Original that wasn't dying anytime soon, or had something wrong with him.

Freya seated at a table in a chair, told her, "I've been searching just like you. I think the only option we have is to connected all of us. Then I'll put us in a deep sleep. You're a doppelganger. You can dagger Elijah and Rebekah, and then undagger them once you've found a cure for all of us. I think it's the only way to save us all."

Kat didn't like it, but she had to agree that for the moment, it was the only way to save them.

"Let's do this, then," she replied.

When everything was said and done, Kat got into the driver's side of the semi truck. With Klaus and Freya connected to the others, all of them were asleep in coffins in the back. It was the only way to be sure that none of them died. For once in her life, she hated leaving New Orleans behind. It had become her home, but she still had friends here that would watch the city for her, but would also help find cures for them all. Kat was leaving town, believing that leaving would be the smartest thing. Human or not, she had to guard them, while she figured out something. And she knew where to go. The one town that hated her the most. After all, it had ancestors that possibly would have answers. They'd been there since the very beginning. And even if they didn't all enjoy Originals, someone there at least liked how honorable Elijah was. The one person that had always called Elijah his favorite Original. She just hoped she wasn't going to be arriving during bad timing.
